When Natalie found out she was pregnant in her past life, she had sat in the darkness for
a long time clutching her stomach after Isabella had left.
At that moment, her primary concern was figuring out how she would live with the child
once she left Cedric.
Yes!
Even in the pitch-blackness that enveloped her vision, she was determined to leave Cedric
behind, no matter what awaited her.
But upon learning of the life growing within her, all her courage evaporated. She felt
panicked and almost driven mad.
She could endure any hardship, but the thought of not being able to care for her child
terrified her.
However, before she could confront Cedric or make a decision... a massive fire ended

Cedric said she should forgive Isabella.
He claimed that Isabella sacrificed her life for her in the end.
But how could he truly understand?
While Natalie might have been willing to forgive almost anything when it only concerned
her, there was no room for forgiveness when it came to her child.
There was absolutely no way.
It was also because of the suffering she had endured in her last moments for the child that
she decided that...
No matter what Isabella had done for her, she couldn't forgive her.
"Alright, I'll inform Madam. She'll be pleased to know that you've agreed to the surgery
soon," Lydia said, joyfully picking up the phone.
Watching Lydia's cheerful departure, Natalie shook her head in resignation.
That night, Natalie struggled to find rest, only truly falling asleep after midnight. Accepting
these outcomes wasn't easy for her. The doctor's conclusions had shaken all her previous
convictions.
In the darkness, a pair of bright eyes observed her frail form on the bed. A cold fingertip
traced the uneven skin of her neck, causing a sensation as if the man's fingertip had been
burned.
It was so painful it made him gasp for breath.
How excruciating it must have been for her!
Not just the burns on her skin but also her eyes seared by scorching heat!
She must have suffered so much!
When morning came, Natalie felt a familiar presence. Perhaps due to her fading vision, her
sensitivity to this presence became even sharper.
And so, a heavy feeling settled deep within her heart.

"You've been standing by the door?"
"Yes, Xyla and I took turns keeping watch."
"There's really no need to be so tense. I'm fine!"
Natalie reached out to grab the glass of water on the bedside table. However, as she
extended her hand, the shadows seemed to blur. It caused her to knock over the glass,
spilling water everywhere.
Natalie and Lydia were silent, and the air turned tense instantly!
"Miss!" Lydia was the first to react, rushing over to check on Natalie, her eyes filled with
concern and anxiety.
Caught off guard by Lydia's exclamation, Natalie finally came back to her senses.
Were her eyes really in such a dire state as the doctor had warned?!
Lydia reassured her, "It's alright. I'll clean it up immediately."
It felt as if something had engulfed Natalie's entire world at that moment.
