At this time, one of Damien’s men rushed towards him. “Sir, we looked for the hotel where Enrico had stayed before, and it said
that he had checked out two days ago.” “What?” Damien frowned.
“You’re here for Enrico?” Selden asked.

appear at some point, so he hurriedly dragged her into the house. “Ava, don’t go out of the house for the next few days, okay?”

“Ava, let’s move away from here.” “Huh? Why?” She became more confused. “Although life in this town is pleasant, there are no
excellent hospitals nearby. You are about to give birth soon. I feel that this isn’t a suitable place for that.” Selden had already
made up an excuse before he reached home. He knew what he had to say. However, Ava did not suspect anything. She

pitch-black and turbulent. Only a lighthouse could be seen on the surface of the sea in the distance. He had stared at the sea
countless times. It was where Ava disappeared from. Half a year had passed, and he no longer had any hopes of finding her
again. Even though he had to move on with his life, he would rather live in the memories of the past forever. There was nothing
for him to look forward to. “Ava Nagel...” He whispered her name in a very low voice as he didn’t want anyone to hear him.
His secretary, who was back at the office, emailed him some documents to be handled. Although he was out to catch Enrico, he
still had to settle those works himself.
Damien walked back into the room and turned on the laptop that was on the table.
In the mailbox was a document that required his signature. It was about a brand ambassador associated with the company.
Before that, the ambassador of this brand was Kelly Hensley. But after Ava’s accident, he wouldn’t
let her endorse their brand anymore.

without asking further. He dialed the number on his mobile phone and said, “Miss Hensley, I’m Damien Radbury.” “Mr. Radbury?
What can I do for you?” “I’m in Avarnia and I saw Selden today.”
Although he and Ava had been separated forever from each other, he felt that there was no need for him to stop a couple from
being together. Perhaps this was also what Ava wanted to see.

When he was about to leave the town, he thought about seeing Selden again.
Ever since Selden suddenly went abroad half a year ago, they didn’t keep in touch at all. It was strange that he didn’t like Selden
at first, but after Ava left the world, he stopped hating this guy so much.
But it was a pity that he was in a hurry yesterday at the market. Damien didn’t have time to ask Selden about his residence.
He thought to himself that Selden seemed to be here to buy groceries yesterday, so he must live not far away from here. A man
like Selden would most likely live in a luxurious neighborhood even if he was in a small town.
