“What is it?” “You can’t be the reason for my divorce with Ava, Miss Newton.” Although Damien spoke softly, Ava could hear
everything.
Her heart was beating loudly. Suddenly, she accidentally stepped on a twig underneath. Since the backyard was silent, both
Damien and Selina could hear the sound. “Who is it?” Selina asked sternly. Ava crept out slowly from behind the tree and she
smiled awkwardly. “... I wasn’t planning to eavesdrop on purpose. Plea... please continue.” Ava prepared to run away. But
Damien yelled, “Stay where you are, Ava.” Ava froze on the spot. Selina stared at Ava and she claimed pitifully, “I admit that I’m
not good enough, but... but I am willing to change. Can’t you give me another chance?” Most of the guys wouldn’t be able to
resist Selina’s current dejected tone. Ava was getting uncomfortable now, and she dared not to look at Damien But Damien
replied coldly, “Miss Newton, you’re being inappropriate in front of my wife.” “You told me that Ava was nothing to you, so I
her, but now... “You two keep on and I will leave first,” Ava spoke suddenly. She then fled the scene.
Selina continued to pester Damien, but the latter pushed her off. He rushed to the hall, but Ava was nowhere to be seen. “Mr.
Turner, have you seen my wife?” Damien asked immediately. “She left in a hurry to the entrance. What’s wrong?” Damien
dashed towards the direction and grabbed Ava. “Where do you think you’re going?” “... I feel awkward there. You two should
continue.” Damien chuckled, “Do you think that I want to continue the conversation?”
Ava pouted. Back then, Damien and Selina were embroiled in a few scandals, not to mention that the latter was a frequent guest
of the Radbury residence. Now, he chose to ignore Selina firmly after their breakup. Oh, men sure were cruel!
“Uh, it seems like Miss Newton truly likes you. Are you not giving her a chance?” He tickled her nose and said, “Too bad for her,
she came late and I’ve already given that chance to someone else.”

At the hospital. Selden was recuperating in the hospital. After much thought, Kelly decided to visit him. Unfortunately, there was
still heavy tension between them. Selden was weak, and he refused to argue with Kelly. Yet, Kelly’s soft-spoken nature only
lasted for a while.
She was angry again after a short conversation. “I came to see if you’re still alive. Who cares about you! Get lost!” Selden was
amused, “This is my room and I have the right the stay. Plus, I’m not allowed to move around.” “You’re telling me to leave? Fine!”
Kelly stormed out, but she left her handbag in the room. Selden shook his head helplessly. Then, he decided to taste the fish
soup brought by Kelly in a thermos. He had to admit that the soup tasted quite good. Although Kelly insisted that the soup was
prepared by her, Selden knew that it was impossible with her cooking skills. Kelly returned for her bag, but she stopped upon
seeing Selden was savoring the soup she brought. Only after he had finished the soup, Kelly entered to grab her bag before
leaving again. “Kelly, wait,” Selden called her. She stopped her tracks. Selden returned the thermos to Kelly, “This soup’tastes
alright. Do buy for me again next time.” “I didn’t buy it! I boiled it myself based on the restaurant’s recipe!” Kelly snatched the
thermos and she yelled, “Don’t expect the soup from me again next time!” Selden couldn’t help but chuckle. But he hurt his
wound by the sudden laugh. Kelly was concerned, but she said angrily nonetheless, “The doctor told you not to move around.
Plus, what’s so funny about it?” “I think you will become famous if you join the industry again as a comedian.” “What do you
mean! I am always famous since my debut!” Kelly wanted to hit him with the thermos, but she tripped over the bed stand.
Something then fell to the ground.
Kelly noticed that it was an album containing photos of Selden and Ava together... They were old photos and some of them were
memories of Selden’s teenage years. Despite there were photos of other friends, most of the collections were about Ava. Even
now, Selden was still thinking of Ava... “Selden, you’re such a loyal man.” Kelly snickered, and she threw the album on the floor.
“You...!” Selden snarled. He was just too bored to stay in the hospital, so he just flipped through old photos to pass the time.
Now, Selden’s injuries were preventing him from bending to retrieve the album. Kelly then kicked the album further away and she
mocked him, “Go and spend the rest of your days staring at those pictures then! Wish you two live happily after!” Kelly felt deeply
hurt as she left the hospital. It was not easy for Kelly to swallow her pride by visiting Selden. In the end, Ava was still the most
important to him! “You fool! Do you think you’re such a catch? You’re not even worth my time!” Kelly cursed, and she stomped
her feet at the hospital entrance..
