Chapter 10 What's Your Relationship With This Woman

Unexpectedly, the door swung open and several people intruded.

They had their cameras in their hands as they pressed the shutters continuously.

Everything happened so fast that Daryl and Zack didn't have the tto react. They were bombarded with

questions that they didn't know how to answer. "Mr. Ji, what is your relationship with this woman?" a reporter

asked.

"I heard you're going to engaged to Miss Mi, the daughter of Mi Company's CEO. Are you cheating on Miss Mi?

Who is this woman?"

"Mr. Ji."

"Hold on, the woman looks familiar. Are you Miss Ye?"

"Daryl Ye? Wait! Didn't she quit? Is she a mistress? This is something big. It could cover the front pages for a long

time."

Daryl's heart pounded hard in her chest.

"Get out!" With his stoic face, Zack wrapped the quilt around her. He stood up and swept a cold look across the

crowd with his intimidating aura.

In no time, the atmosphere becunbearable. A heavy silence fell upon them as the intruders stared at the

man.

Suddenly, a kid emerged from the crowd.

The moment his eyes lay on Daryl, they lit up, and Benjamin pounced himself on her body.

"Mommy, Daddy, how could you be this careless on your date? Look, it got photographed by the media! Won't

your love affair be exposed?"

"Benjamin Ji!" Zack called out through gritted teeth.

"Bennie..."

Daryl never thought that the media would catch her in such a predicament. Five years out of the industry and

this was how she was going to be seen? In bed with a man who was going to get engaged with another woman?

So, Benjamin was behind all of this?

What a troubleskid!

She lowered her head as blood rushed to her face out of shame.

"Bennie, you're misunderstanding something. Your father and | are not in a relationship that you think of," Daryl

explained frantically.

However, Benjamin ignored her words and pushed himself further against her arms. "Mommy, how long are you

planning to hide it? Tell the world that you are my dad's legitimate wife and my mom." As he spoke, he looked at

his father with a long face. "Don't you think so too, Daddy?"

"Bennie! Don't say things like that," Daryl butted in as anxiousness overwhelmed her. If the media took his words

seriously, Zack would definitely brand her as a scheming woman. Someone who would take any opportunity to

rise to the top.

That night was her biggest mistake. She didn't want to get involved with Zack anymore.

"Oh my God! This kid is Mr. Ji and Daryl's son? Turns out that he is already married. Then is Daryl his wife?"

"Look at the kid, he's so cute! Daryl is so lucky."

"But did they tie the knot? | think they aren't legally married yet."

"In that case, does that mean that this kid is an illegitimate child? That would be so pitiful."

The reporters’ imagination was running wild. They thought that Daryl gave birth to Zack's child so that she could

marry into a rich family.

"Ms. Ye, did you quit and get married to Mr. Ji five years ago?" one of the reporters asked with excitement.

Daryl was quick to deny. "No, that's not it!"

Unfortunately, her denial only fuelled the excitement of the media personnel.

"Is it because the Ji family hasn't accepted you yet? You want to marry into the Ji family, right? Is the kid an

illegitimate child?"

Daryl furrowed her brows upon hearing that.

about? Why would | becan illegitimate child?" Even though he was only a kid, Benjamin knew what an

illegitimate child meant. He turned his reddened face to his father furiously. "Daddy, tell them that I'm your

legitimate child." Daryl opened her mouth to explain the matter to him. "Bennie..."

The last thing that she wanted was for these reporters to ruin the kid's innocent mind.

"Fuck off!"

Zack's strong voice resonated within the room as he expressed his displeasure. He pursed his lips into a thin line

as he threw them a sharp and cold gaze. Suddenly, the atmosphere was blanketed with a coldness.

"I'll count to three," he warned. "Those who fail to get out of here on twill receive a legal letter from Ji Group.

Three!"

The press fled from the room in panic as if they had seen a ghost.

Truthfully, it would be a piece of hot news.

But no one dared to release the news.

They didn't want to displease such a ruthless person.

After a moment, the once noisy presidential suite fell into utter silence.

Zack glared at his son coldly as he pulled him from Daryl's arms. "Benjamin, are you the one behind this ruckus?

How could you shme in this way?"

"Why are getting angry, Daddy? Is there anything wrong withhelping you find your wife?" Benjamin started

to tear up.

Zack shut his lips tightly as he stared at him. It was such a shthat his son couldn't live with his expectations.

"You brat, you're still trying to prove your point? Do you think you can just choose your mother however you

want?"

"If you weren't planning to take my

mother and me, then you shouldn't have madein the first place. You're being mean!" Benjamin choked on

his words as he cried harder. He started to dislike his dad and he didn't want him to hug him anymore.

Daryl muttered. She couldn't bear seeing that little boy weep like this, so she reached out her hand and pulled

the kid in the safety of her arms. Benjamin peeked at his father's distasteful gaze. He knew he had to do

something so that Daryl could stay with them.

"You're scaring the kid,"

"Mommy, Daddy doesn't even want

to admit that | am his legitimate son. Takewith you," Benjamin

pleaded as he wrapped his arms around Daryl's neck tightly. "I don't want to go hwith him. He'll beat

At that sight, Zack frowned.

Daryl listened to his grievance and patted his back. "Bennie, don't cry. | can't be your mommy, but | can be your

friend."

"No, | want you to be my mommy!"

"Bennie, | have nothing to do with your dad. Even if you try every means to get us together, we will never be

happy." Daryl also had a lot of questions in her mind. She couldn't understand why Benjamin insisted that she

was his mother.

Upon hearing her words, Zack bore his darkened orbs to the woman.

He was offended at how Daryl was so adamant about drawing a line between the two of them.

Benjamin gave her an aggrieved look. "Mommy, you don't likeeither, do you?"
