Chapter 769 Chapter 769 With a single glance, Trevor saw the torn bag on the table. Sseparate snacks had fallen out.
At that moment, his face instantly changed.
As she pouted her lips, Victoria said, "I... I was going to give them to Shirley! So, I guess I tasted some?" She lowered her head and licked her lips. Victoria was so hungry that she almost drooled. If only he cin a little later, she could've already gobbled it down! It was her beef jerky! She was so sick and tired of eating plain porridge every day.
Trevor took a step forward and snatched the small piece of beef from her hand before throwing it into the trash can.
"Aunt McGowan, take these out! I never want to see any snacks in my house ever again!" Trevor demanded. "Yes, Master Trevor!" She replied.
As she looked at Victoria with sympathy, Aunt McGowan went over and put them all into a box. Victoria looked at them eagerly. She reached out and pointed to a bag on top.
"That's... tofu! It's expensive!" She said.
Fish tofu was tofu as well, which meant that she could eat it, right? As soon as Trevor shot her a look, she couldn't help but swallow back her words. Whenever Trevor looked this cold, she would always be frightened by him! Aunt McGowan took all the things out and then stood on her feet. Victoria subconsciously glanced at her and wanted to see how she'd deal with her snacks! She usually didn't like snacking. However, from a professional point of view, she didn't want to risk being interrupted when she was inspired. So, it was sometimes common for her to delay her meals to complete her designs in a single shot. Thus, to prevent her from starving, she would always prepare ssnacks to eat when she felt hungry.

However, she had been really craving for snacks at that very moment. Her attention was all focused on the expensive snacks that she loved. Her eyes almost fell out of her sockets from staring! Trevor took her hand in his, patting it twice as he said, "Are you that interested in getting hospitalized? How dare you secretly eat beef jerky? It's so hard to digest!" Trevor's heart was still pounding with fear at the thought of the doctor's advice. Her life could've been in danger and she'd require an operation if her stomach started to bleed again.
"Why are you so disobedient? You even used Shirley as an excuse. Do you really treat her as a friend?" Trevor questioned pointedly.
It was as if she wanted to get sick right after she had just recovered! "But I'm hungry, and I don't want to eat porridge. I want to throw up whenever I see it. I'm fine and I want to eat something else! Why don't you leteat a little? One bite? Just a small bite?" Victoria begged. Trevor put forth his strength and pulled her into his arms. He raised his hand and caressed her hair as he spoke.
"I know! But do you know how severely ill your body is? You almost scaredto death. I spent days taking care of you - how could you give up halfway? All my efforts would all be in vain. What should I do?" Trevor asked. Wasn't she going to continue? Although the doctor didn't say that she could only eat porridge, he still suggested that she have porridge on the daily and kept to a light diet.
As soon as he finished speaking, Victoria pouted. "One would get sick from eating exotic delicacies seven days a week, let alone porridge. I'm going crazy!" She thought to herself.
She'd rather starve than eat porridge! Upon seeing how moody she was because of this, Trevor couldn't help but compromise.
"I'll ask someone to get you a bowl of porridge, first. Then, I'll call Carson and ask him what you can eat so that you can have other options instead. However, you can only eat a little. Don't get greedy and don't overdo it!" Trevor advised her. Victoria finally flashed a smile as she repeatedly nodded. "Okay! Helpask if I can eat fish, seafood, or chicken!" Why did she have to live by this terrible diet? She couldn't eat certain food nor have food that was hard to digest. She had never been so miserable in her life! As a result of her illness, she was required to eat less, but have an increase in the number of meals per day. There would always be porridge prepared beforehand. The servants soon brought out svegetable porridge that Victoria slowly ate. Trevor called Carson for a под consultation and had everything he wanted to know confirmed in detail. Trevor then told the kitchen to prepare alternate dishes for her.
]Trevor suddenly tapped on Victoria's spoon with his. "Slow down! If you continue to wolfing down your food like this, I'll ask someone to take it away!" Trevor warned. She was eating so ridiculously fast. Was she trying to devour twenty bites worth of food in a single mouthful? "But it's getting cold!" Victoria complained.
Victoria licked her spoon and thought about how mouthwateringly delicious the meat tasted. Sure enough, she was a meat-eater. She knew that even though she had to eat less, she'd still have to have her share of food one way or another. She wondered how others who wanted to lose weight through dieting survived.
Her perseverance definitely wasn't strong enough! As she thought about this, she saw Trevor withdraw his utensils. She suddenly sat up straight and forced herself to eat slowly as she placed a large piece of chicken into her bowl.
Victoria greedily scoffed at the food as she thought of the pain she endured when she was sick. She then turned to Trevor.
"Why did you cback at this hour?" Victoria asked.
Lunch was usually served at twelve o'clock. However, it was brought forward an hour earlier on this specific day. "To keep an eye on you!" He replied.
If he didn't return, would someone else be able to stop her from snacking? He had already cleaned their bedroom up of all snacks, only to discover that there was an even bigger box of forbidden goodies still hidden in the kitchen! Victoria's face turned slightly red as she bit her lips. "I've been good, and I've been getting enough sleep! This is clearly my first offence," she said.
He even caught her red-handed! This was so unfair! Trevor scooped ssoup for her and said, "Being caught for the first tdoesn't mean that this is the first offense!" Trevor tapped her forehead and said, "Eat on tin the future. If you're hungry, just let the kitchen crew know. Don't eat cold food, or food without nutrition! You're not Shirley!" She reluctantly cooed.
With an obedient nod, Victoria slurped the soup down. "He nags more than my own mother!" She thought to herself.
"I have to go out in the afternoon, so I cback earlier to see you and have a meal with you!" Trevor explained.

It had been difficult getting her finally discharged from the hospital. He was extremely worried that the past would repeat itself. The fear of seeing her back in a hospital ward still lingered in his heart! "Are you going on a business trip again?" She asked.
Victoria's voice sounded solemn as a sudden wave of unhappiness washed into her heart.
Trevor hummed a 'yes' and nodded.
He couldn't deny that she was seriously ill; although the other m person wasn't having any easier either. Selena had no relatives, and as a result of their relationship, she and her mother had grown estranged. Over the years, theel. ne

Just as Trevor was about to explain himself, Victoria deliberately dropped her spoon and yelled, "I don't want to eat anymore!" She was so mad that she could feel the air thinning around her, making her feel breathless.
Why did such a person exist? He was like half a relative and half an enemy to her. How frustrating! Victoria stood up and pushed her chair away.
