Olivia did not want to talk with those people anymore. She came to the banquet to celebrate her
grandfather’s birthday, not to argue with them. She used to have expectations and affection for Samuel
and Amelie, so she put up with all the ridicule and pain. But now, she was completely disappointed with
her parents.

lowered her eyes and clutched the hem of her dress as if she had suffered an unbearable blow. Her

She quivered and said, “Olivia, why… why do you do this to me?”
As she spoke, tears rolled down from her eyes. Her slender body swayed as if she was about to fall.
She bit her lower lip. Her eyes filled with despair and her voice was choked with confusion. “I know you
hate me. You hate me for taking your place and taking away the love of your parents. But this is not my
fault. Since you returned to our family, I’ve been giving in. I give all the good things to you first and think
for you in everything. But not only do you not appreciate it, but you also keep picking on me. What
exactly do you want?”
Emma was crying her heart out. If Ethan hadn’t supported her, she would have fainted and fallen to the
ground.
Everyone around Emma was taken aback after hearing what she had gone through. They did not
expect her to have suffered so much.
