Jarron was back, and Olivia had to go out for lunch at noon.
“There’s a barbecue restaurant nearby that tastes good.” Jarron’s voice was gentle. “You’ll definitely
like it.”
He had been to all the restaurants near the hospital to see which dishes were delicious. He wanted to
bring her along when Olivia came back in the future.
The door of the barbecue restaurant was very big. As soon as Jarron arrived, a doorman came to park
the car. A waiter led them to a private room on the second floor.
Olivia held Andrew’s small hand and told him which dish was delicious. He even specially instructed
the waiter to serve a few dishes that were not spicy. Children could not eat them.
She had already ordered the dishes, but Jarron was still standing at the staircase.
He was on the phone. The light at the staircase was dim and hazy. Olivia could only see him holding
his phone in one hand and putting his other hand in his pocket. He seemed to be in a hurry.
Olivia asked Blake to take care of Andrew while he walked toward Jarron.
She had just taken a few steps when she heard his hoarse and anxious voice. “Why did you faint? Is it
hypoglycemia? Don’t worry, I’ll be there
soon…”
Perhaps because he was too flustered, his forehead was covered in sweat, and his lips were pursed
tightly.
When he turned around and saw Olivia, he was slightly stunned. Then, he looked apologetic. “I have to
go back to the hospital. I can’t eat with you.”
Olivia looked up and said in a clear tone, “Did Gillian faint? I’ll go with you.”
“No need.” Jarron subconsciously refused. When he returned to his senses, he realized his tone had
been too harsh. He quickly explained, “You’re hungry. Eat first. The grill here is very good. I can go
alone.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtOlivia leaned against the wall with one hand in his pocket. He looked up and glanced at Jarron before
sneering. “I know she doesn’t want to see me. Don’t worry, I won’t go over.”

Jarron frowned and looked helpless. “Olivia…”
Olivia waved his hand. “Alright, go over quickly.”
Olivia returned to the private room alone. Blake stretched her body and looked around. When she did
not see Jarron, her expression immediately turned gloomy. “Where’s Mr. Jarron?”
“He’s back at the hospital. Gillian fainted.”
“Fainted?” Blake subconsciously became worried. Then, her expression changed to ridicule. “This
again.”
This was not the first time Gillian had done such a thing. Blake was already immune.
However, Jarron could not tell and was tricked every time. This man was so careless.
After Jarron, the important person, left, the originally happy lunch suddenly became dull.
After a few bites, Blake put down her fork and sighed. “How did Miss Gillian become like this? The
three of you were so good in the past, but now you’re cold. It’s all a misunderstanding.”
Blake really couldn’t figure out how the three children, who used to be so close, ended up like this.
Didn’t Gillian dote on Olivia? Why did she suddenly have such a thought? Not only did she complain
about Olivia, but she also messed around between Jarron and Olivia.
She had never seen anyone more pretentious than her!
Jarron returned to the hospital and immediately went to the ward to see Gillian. Gillian was lying on the
hospital bed and receiving glucose transfusions. Her face was as pale.
When she heard the door open, Gillian turned around and saw Jarron. Her eyes instantly lit up.
“Jarron!”
“Why did you faint? Did you not rest well?” Jarron was concerned.
Gillian smiled faintly. “There have been too many things going on recently. I’ll be fine in a few days.”
Then, he asked, “Didn’t you accompany Olivia to have lunch? Why are you here?”
Jarron stroked her soft hair and said gently, “Your health is more important.”
A blissful smile appeared on Gillian’s face.

She held Jarron’s hand and rambled on about what had happened recently. She said that she was
going to hold a banquet in ten days and invited many guests.
Jarron was originally listening with a smile, but when he heard her mention the banquet, his expression
instantly turned cold,
He held Gillian’s hand with a solemn expression. “Gillian, did you not invite Olivia to the banquet or let
her be in the house?”
“Did Olivia complain that to you/”
Jarron shook his head. “Ms. Blake told me about the banquet.”
Gillian did not say anything more.
Jarron was about to persuade her when two streams of tears suddenly flowed down from the corners of
her eyes. The tears seemed to be
endless.
Gillian did not speak or look at him. She just cried silently. Jarron’s heart ached.
After a long time, he finally compromised. “Gillian, don’t cry.”
Gillian turned her head away and did not look at him at all. “Jarron, do you think I’ve gone too far by not
inviting her to such an important banquet?”
Jarron remained silent.
Gillian laughed self–deprecatingly. “I just didn’t invite her to a banquet, and she complained to you!”
Jarron explained, “Olivia didn’t say anything. Ms. Blake told me about this.”
“What’s the difference between Ms. Blake saying it and she saying it herself? They were complaining to
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmyou about me.” Gillian’s voice became sharp. “Isn’t it all her doing?”
“Don’t be like this…” said Jarron helplessly.
“Are you feeling sorry for her?” Gillian’s voice was choked with emotion, and his chest heaved
uncontrollably. “She’s already complaining without even inviting her. Why don’t you think about how
many banquets Grandpa brought her to alone in the past? Has she ever brought us along? Has she
ever thought about us at all?
“When she was favored, she did not say a word. Once she was neglected, she would immediately
shout all over the world!

“This time, I won’t invite her. I’ll let her experience how I used to feel.” The more Gillian spoke, the more
aggrieved she felt. Tears kept flowing down her face. In the end, she could not even talk. She only
covered her face and whimpered.
Jarron was helpless and heartbroken. He could only comfort her gently. “Gillian, I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I
didn’t consider your feelings.”
Gillian wiped his tears and snorted. “I’m not hating on purpose. I’m just unwilling to accept it. I just want
her to experience how I used to feel.” At this point, she sobbed and continued, “She’s our little sister
after all. How can I not dote on her? She misunderstood me and always spoke coldly as if someone
owed her something. I won’t bring her to this banquet. Anyway, she doesn’t like crowds. In the future,
I’ll compensate her in terms of money.”
Hearing this, Jarron felt sorry and softened. He regretted his rashness, and his heart ached even more
for Gillian’s grievance. He reached out his fingertips and touched her red and swollen eyes. “I know you
dote on Olivia. I misunderstood you. I’m sorry.”
All these years, Gillian had suffered too many grievances. Her grandfather’s favoritism and her younger
sister’s selfishness had completely hurt her. He would let her vent it out.
As for Olivia, she had already received so much and was favored at most. This was just a little
grievance. It was nothing. In the past, Gillian had also gone through this. Olivia had no right to be
dissatisfied.
