Chapter 195

“Is it really okay to make public the prescriptions just like that?” Blake thought helplessly.

Blake was about to cry. She explained incoherently for a long time. Coupled with Yanis’s words, Olivia

finally understood what they meant. After understanding, however, it seemed that she became even

more confused.

She slowly sat up straight and propped her chin on her hand. She looked up at Blake. “Who said that

the Smith family’s prescriptions are a secret?” she asked.

In her memory, neither she nor Isaac had ever said that the Smith family’s prescriptions were very

important. They didn’t say that the prescriptions were secrets that could not be divulged.

Blake froze. Her pupils slowly dilated, and her mind went blank as if her head had been hit.

Yanis was also dumbfounded. He sat beside Olivia and whispered, “It’s not a secret. Anyone can read

it?”

“That’s right.” Olivia nodded. Then, there was a hint of confusion on her face. “Who told you that the

Smith family’s prescriptions are a secret? Isaac has never mentioned this.”

Blake narrowed her eyes and recalled for a while. It seemed that Isaac had indeed not said this.

“But, why didn’t you show it to Gillian?” Blake was puzzled.

Blake thought, “All these years, Gillian has been thinking about the Smith family’s miraculous

treatments and the prescriptions. If anyone could read it, why doesn’t Olivia show it to Gillian?”

“She didn’t ask Isaac for it!” Olivia said calmly. “Besides, she’s a pediatrician. Why would she need to

learn traditional medicine prescriptions?”

Blake was completely dumbfounded. She stammered, “Olivia, you mean that as long as Gillian asks

Isaac for it, she can get the prescription?”

Olivia nodded. “That’s right. If she asks Isaac for it, Isaac will give it to her. If Isaac isn’t at home, she

can ask me for it.”

Blake thought, “Why? Why is it like this?”

Blake was very confused and she didn’t understand it. She could not accept it!

“Aren’t the Smith family prescriptions very precious? How can you publicize it so casually and treat it

with such disrespect?”

Olivia was eating a grape that had been washed clean. When she heard this, she spat the seed into

her palm.

She was even more surprised than Blake. “Who said those prescriptions are precious? Those are all

incomplete prescriptions. They’re useless. Only life–saving medicine has some value. Isaac gave the

prescription to the research institute a few years ago. That’s why there’s a medicine catalyst and a

patent.”

“What?” Blake lost control for a moment. “Incomplete prescriptions!”

Olivia threw a grape seed into the trash can.

She seemed to understand. After understanding, she couldn’t help but laugh.

Leaning back on the sofa, Olivia explained unhurriedly, “When did Isaac say that the Smith family has

precious prescriptions? If he did, he would have used it long ago. Moreover, with Isaac’s selflessness, if

there were really such precious prescriptions, he would have donated them to the country long ago.

“Even if he does not donate, he would apply for a patent. We are in a modern society. Isaac is also

keeping up with the times. He won’t hide precious prescriptions, right?”

Upon hearing this, Blake seemed to have been severely hit. Her entire body trembled.

“What about the precious pill?”

Olivia said, “Isaac and I came up with it together.”

“What about the seared salmon with herbed couscous?”

This time, Olivia did not speak. She only looked up at Blake strangely. After a while, she lowered her

eyes and laughed at herself. “Even you don’t believe me.”

Blake held her breath and quickly shook her head. She was so nervous that she was about to cry.

“Miss Olivia, don’t misunderstand. It’s not that I don’t believe you. I just thought that you modified the

seared salmon with herbed couscous based on the Smith family’s prescription.”

Olivia turned around. “Who told you that seared salmon with herbed

couscous was modified based on the Smith family prescription?”

Blake lowered her head with an unnatural expression on her face. After a while, she said in a low voice,

“It’s Gillian. She said that Isaac is biased. It’s clearly the Smith family’s prescription, but you gain the

reputation.”

Upon hearing this, Olivia suddenly felt very bored.

She thought, “The seared salmon with herbed couscous made trouble for me again! I have already

explained it so many times that I have developed it myself. Why doesn’t anyone believe me?”

Olivia took a deep breath and suppressed the surging emotions in her heart. “If Isaac really has a

prescription for seared salmon with herbed couscous, why didn’t he take it out earlier and give it to

Gillian? Could it be that he doesn’t love Gillian? If there really is a prescription for seared salmon with

herbed couscous, why would I have to test the medicine? Even my stomach is damaged. Do I like to

torture myself?

“I’ve told you the truth many times, but you didn’t believe it. Instead, you chose to believe your

imagination.

“And about the precious pill, do you also think that it’s the Smith family prescription and that it’s just

because Isaac is biased that he added my name?”

Blake said nothing.

Yanis lowered his head.

Seeing this, Olivia chuckled. Her tone was self–deprecating. “I thought Gillian was too extreme and

biased so she made the mistake. It turns out that you all have bias.”

Blake looked up and hurriedly explained, “Olivia, it’s not that we don’t believe you. We all admit that

you’re very smart. Moreover, we watched you grow up. I know what kind of personality you have.

You’re a good girl. You’re very smart, sensible, and very capable.

“However, creating a prescription is not something that can be done with intelligence and hard work. It

also requires exquisite medical skills and years of experience.”

At this point, Blake choked and said apologetically, “Olivia, you were really too young at that time. At

first, we believed you. But later, when Gillian said it, we felt that what she said made more sense. You

were so young at that time. How could you create such a magical prescription?”

Yanis nodded cooperatively. “That’s right, that’s right. At first, we didn’t

think too much about it. We thought that you were the one who created seared salmon with herbed

couscous. Later, when Gillian said it, and she kept muttering it in a low voice, the reason was very

logical. Slowly, we believed her.”

In the end, Yanis’s tone became lower and lower. It was obvious that he was very ashamed.

“I’m sorry, Olivia. It’s not that we don’t trust you. It’s just…”

Yanis did not know what to say and could only keep apologizing.

In fact, at first, they did not realize that the Smith family had magical prescriptions. It was only when

seared salmon with herbed couscous and precious pill appeared and Gillian kept nagging that they

slowly believed

1. it.

After all, these two things were really magical. They were so magical that they could only be explained

by the Smith family’s miraculous medicine. Moreover, because of the appearance of these two

miraculous medicines, the Smith family people also guessed that there was an ancient prescription and

secretly investigated.

As things developed like this, fake things became real.

Now that he thought about it carefully and sorted out the timeline, Yanis realized how wrong he was.

He had clearly been by Olivia’s side the entire time. He had seen her grow and concoct the prescription

with his own eyes. How could he still be so muddle–headed as to trust outsiders?

He clearly knew that Olivia’s medical skills were superb and had already surpassed Isaac’s.

Isaac had also praised Olivia a few times, but Yanis still didn’t trust Olivia. Yanis and Blake were so

ashamed that they could not raise their heads. Their faces were hot. They felt embarrassed for

themselves and also felt guilty towards Olivia.

They were wrong. They should have trusted Olivia.
