Dexter closed his eyes for a moment, his voice turning hoarse as he asked, "Who did you say this man was?" "He's one of the collaborators, Lachlan Keller from Keller Group of Rivodia, whose main business is architectural design..." Larry had never anticipated this. He had absolutely no idea that Josie had been involved in this all along for the past two years.

"Handthe detailed information," Dexter ordered.

He cast a final glance in Josie's direction. As she walked further and further away, she boarded the car with her child, never once looking back, just as she had been doing for the past two years.

Josie bid farewell to Lachlan. He invited her to visit Wavery if she had the chance, to see the venue he had personally designed.

She didn't give a definite answer, only wishing him a smooth journey.

After giving Grape a hug, Lachlan then embraced Josie. Before parting, he said, "Think carefully about what I said last night." Josie gently nodded.

Upon returning home, Grape chattered incessantly about the day's events. Among them, she mentioned that peculiar man again, "He ignored me." After hearing all of this, Josie felt somewhat of a headache coming on. This was too much. Josie wanted to use this as a teachable moment.

"Grapes, listen to me. If someone doesn't like you, don't force it. Shall we move on? There are plenty of handsuncles and brothers in this world, and even beautiful sisters." Grapes seemed to understand, yet not quite, but with guidance, she seemed to have a better understanding.

Meanwhile, Larry had already handed over all of Lachlan's information to Dexter.

Josie had been working under Lachlan with the alias of Alice for a solid two years.

Suddenly, Dexter remembered that before she left, she had mentioned wanting to live in Rivodia.

Lachlan was from Rivodia.

Dexter's hand, clutching the documents, was trembling slightly. It was a feeling of regaining something precious after a long separation, but it was accompanied by fear.

"Mr. Russell, what can be confirmed is that Lachlan is not married, and neither is Ms. Warren, which means..." That child belonged to someone else.

Dexter put down the documents. "Do you still remember the look in Lachlan's eyes?" "What?" "Ambiguous, gentle, understanding." Regardless of their statuses, it was clear that Lachlan had feelings for Josie.

The fact that Josie accepted his gaze in such a manner spoke volumes.

"Morgan has always been searching for Josie." Larry was taken aback. "Yes." "lI wonder if he genuinely couldn't locate her, or if he was pretending not to," Dexter scoffed coldly.

Rivodia was Morgan's territory. Dexter simply couldn't believe that there had been no trace or clue for the past two years.

"Mr. Russell, we've found her. What should we do next?" Not only had Josie been found, but she also had a child.

"Get out." Dexter needed speace and quiet to think things through.

Dexter locked himself in his room for an entire night, his thoughts wandering through many things—the past, the future.

It was more about the future.

The following day, as the attendant cto deliver the meal, he was intercepted by Larry. Just as he began to speak, the door swung open from the inside. Dressed casually, Dexter said, "Start the car." The place they went to was near Josie's current residence.

It was a very quiet place, with hardly any cars around. They parked at a distance, just in tto see Josie walking out of the house.

The child cheerfully followed behind.

She walked slowly, and Josie would occasionally glance back at her, saying, "Today is the first day of kindergarten. You must behave, all right?" "But Mommy, | don't want to go to kindergarten, | just want to be with you." "Every child has to attend kindergarten." That wasn't entirely true. However, she didn't have the energy to balance work and taking care of her child. She had no other option but to send Grape to daycare, and she was unsure if Grape would be able to adjust.

Upon hearing this, Grape could only nod and inquire, "Is the kindergarten teacher pretty?" Josie was speechless.
