Howard paced in excitement.
After a moment, he paused in his steps. “Hurry, find out everything you can about that woman. I heard
that Eddy’s second uncle is preparing to break into a new industry. If we play our cards right, this family
is going to get richer.”
No one ever said no to more money.
“Yes, sir.” The butler went out to get to work.
Howard failed to contain his emotions as he walked around the room. The frustration of not being able
to find Caroline was long forgotten.
