Hayes was thinking hard when he suddenly grabbed Teresa’s hand and headed for the door

As the door slammed shut with a loud “bang,” Manley collapsed on the floor and burst into

Teresa mulled over Hayes’ words for a moment, then her eyes lit up. She belatedly cupped Hayes’
face, her voice soft with excitement, “Little Mute, did you notice? You spoke so smoothly just now,
without any stutters!”
