Andy thought about what Bryan had said.

Bryan opened the door and got in the car.
Finley huddled up on the backseat and was asleep.
Bryan patted Finley on the face. “Don’t play dumb. I will get even with you anyway.”
Finley did not wake up or creep into Bryan’s arms as usual.
With a frown, Bryan realized that something was wrong.
He touched Finley’s forehead.
It was a bit hot.
Her hair and clothes were still a bit wet.
It seemed that she got wet in the rain.

The car sped back to the mansion.
Bryan carried Finley out of the car and then straight back to his bedroom.

Bryan closed the wardrobe, went to the door, and called Kate over.
“Get her clothes and stuff in her room to mine.”
“Yes, Mr. Turner.” Kate nodded with a smile.

Bryan got a clean bathrobe from the bathroom to help Finley get changed.
He sat on the bed and touched the zipper of Finley dress.

Finley moved backward in a panic. With her back against the bedhead, Finley had no room to retreat. “I
have a fever. Don’t…”
Before Finley finished her warning, Bryan pinched her chin and kissed her red lips.
This kiss wasn’t gentle at all. In some way, it was too fierce for Finley.
Breathless, Finley pushed Bryan away and said, “I’m a patient. Can you take pity on me?”
Bryan sat on the edge of the bed and stared at Finley coldly. “Don’t piss me off again. I’ll solve all the
problems for you.”
