You even offered to raise someone else's child." Nash had initially struggled with his feelings for Nina and had considered ending the pregnancy. But seeing how much it would hurt her, he couldn't go through with it.
That must be love, he thought. It made everything else seem unimportant. Even if the child weren't his, he would accept it. As long as Nina was with him, he could accept everything about her.
"Did I say that?" Nash laughed. "I guess you shouldn't talk too much when you're drunk, or you'll end up spilling everything."

He didn't know how much the had left, but as long as he was clear-headed, he would make sure Nina was Ashburn happy.
