Nina could see everything clearly now. The blankets and cups, along with other items, were all adorned with yellow stars.
Could it be...
"Teacher! You're finally awake!" Sean shouted excitedly as he ran into her arms.
Nina was momentarily stunned but then instinctively patted his head.
"You're awake!" Another voice said.

"Miss, how are you feeling?" the soldier asked, approaching Nina.
Hearing familiar English, Nina immediately felt a surge of safety, almost like being home. "I'm okay. Are you... Are you from the Birkham army?" "Yes," the soldier replied, a hint of excitement in his voice. "It's so chaotic here. I didn't expect to meet someone from our country." Nina's first thought was whether she might meet Nash. But seeing the soldier in front of her, she realized he probably didn't know her or Nash. She decided to ask cautiously, "Do you know Nash York?" To her surprise, the soldier's eyes lit up. "Ah, you know our Captain York?" Nina's emotions welled up. "Where is he?" The soldier was slightly taken aback but then said, "Captain isn't back yet. I'm not sure where he is. He might still be on a mission." Nina felt a mix of hope and relief. At least he was alive. After everything she had been through, knowing he was safe was enough for now. As long as he was alive, there were endless possibilities. "Oh," she said.
The soldier noted her shifting emotions, finding it a bit strange. "Well, you should rest. I'll leave now." "Okay, thank you." "It's our duty," the soldier replied, saluting her before leaving.
Sean then moved closer, filled with remorse. "Teacher, I'm so sorry for everything. Will you forgive me? I promise to listen to you from now on and never oppose you again. Please don't die." Sean was terrified, clutching Nina's hand. His black eyes glistened with tears.
Nina smiled gently, "As long as you understand your mistakes and try to improve, everything will be alright." "I know... I know. Mr. Micah always said that realizing and correcting mistakes is important. I promise I won't misbehave anymore," Sean said, sniffling. He had completely let go of his previous prejudices against her.
BUMS Nina asked, "Where's Haley? And the other students?" "Don't worry, Teacher. Haley is fine. She went to take care of her mother. As for the other students, we're all okay, thanks to you." Sean's voice trembled as he spoke.
"Don't be afraid. These soldiers are here to protect you," Nina reassured him.
"I know. You're all good people. Without these soldiers, we would've been dead!" Sean said, still shaken by the experience.
Nina told Sean to go home. Most of the houses in the village were damaged, and he needed to help his family. Sean nodded and left obediently.
Nina, still recovering from her injuries, couldn't do much. She stepped outside and saw soldiers working with the villagers to repair the houses.
Even though their harmonious homes had been devastated, life had to go on. Despite the ravages of war, they had to keep surviving.

"Captain York is back!"
Nina, resting in the tent, heard the shout and immediately got up her instincts sharp. She rushed to the entrance. There he was, stepping out of the vehicle, dressed in his military uniform. His tall, imposing figure
exuded authority. Even with his face partially covered, she recognized him instantly. Nash's powerful and commanding presence was unlike anything she had seen before.
Nina found herself holding her breath, her eyes fixed on him.
Nash seemed to sense someone watching him. He casually glanced in her direction and then and then stopped abruptly, his eyes widening in surprise.
