Chapter 330

Justin glanced at Alyssa and waved at her. Then he walked straight ahead without even glancing at

Frances.

Alyssa had no choice but to follow behind Justin.

When she passed by Frances, she slightly nodded and called out. "Madame Backer."

Only then did Frances notice there was another person present here.

She seemed to have forgotten who Alyssa was. She looked at Alyssa in a daze for a long time before

she spoke. "You are?"

"I am Emmett's ex-wife, Alyssa." Alyssa looked straight into Frances's eyes and spoke slowly.

A trace of surprise flashed across Frances's face, as she said, "So it's you."

"I still have matters to attend to, so I won't chat with Madame Backer anymore." Alyssa lifted her foot

and walked forward to chase after Justin.

When she found Justin, he was standing in front of a fountain with his back to her. His back was

straight, but he lowered his head very much.

Alyssa walked up to him and saw some water stains on the ground in front of him, like tears.

Justin was crying.

Alyssa sighed silently. She took out a tissue from her bag and handed it to him.

Justin did not take it. He said with a sobbing tone, "My father hasn’t had many activities these past few

years, yet he arranged different exhibitions during this period of time. He went to an art exhibition this

time because he had a quarrel with his mother. My father was a good person and he has never lost his

temper because of some small matters. It must be because my mother has gone too far."

"But when I asked my mother why they quarreled, she did not tell me. She must have done something

very bad. That's why my father was so angry and left the house."

Alyssa did not expect that there was such an inside story.

Richard and Frances had a quarrel and then he left the house. But Frances did not tell Justin the

reason for the quarrel.

Emmett went to Country M to look for Frances because of Dylan's mysterious background. He then

planned to chat with Richard again. But Richard got into a car accident just the moment before he was

going to meet Emmett.

The cause and effect of the incident was like this and there seemed to be no clear connection on the

surface.

"Come on. Don't cry." Since he did not take it, Alyssa could only help him wipe his tears with a tissue.

"No matter what, she is your mother. She cares about you very much. If there is any misunderstanding

between you two, wait for everyone to calm down and have a good chat."

Justin just took the tissue and wiped his face. He did not respond to Alyssa's words clearly.

Clearly, Justin was still blaming Frances.

He was blaming Frances for arguing with Richard, which made Richard so angry that he left the house.

After that, there was a car accident.

Justin was now in a dead end, so it was hard for him to listen to what others said.

Alyssa comforted him for a while, then she took him to have his hair cut.

Justin looked much more energetic after cutting his hair.

Then the two of them went to stroll around the street.

Alyssa pulled him into the mall and said. "I'll buy you whatever you want. My script has already been

sold. I'm rich now."

Justin was obviously not in high spirits. He casually looked at things and touched them. He suddenly

seemed to have thought of something and asked Alyssa, "Are you and my cousin really divorced?"

Alyssa had not thought that Justin would suddenly ask this. She was stunned for a moment, before she

said, "Yes."

Hearing this, Justin turned to look at her and said very seriously, "Is it because of the child? I feel that

cousin does not seem to be the person who will hide a little child. I believe in him."

Alyssa did not reply to him immediately.

Justin was a child with his own ability to distinguish. He had seen much more than ordinary children

and he was very assertive.

This was originally a good thing.

However, he was a member of the Lawrence family.

In other words, if he wasn't a member of the Lawrence family, he might not become what he was now.

Alyssa took a deep breath and turned her head to look at him. "Who else could it be if it was not him?"

Justin seemed to be troubled by Alyssa's question. He frowned and fell into deep thought.

Seeing this, Alyssa patted his shoulder and said. "Let's not talk about this matter anymore. Just treat it

as accompanying me today. Let's have a good day and go shopping, okay?"

"Okay."

His father passed away and Alyssa's daughter disappeared.

He probably felt that Alyssa was in the same boat as him so what happened next turned into Justin

trying to make Alyssa happy.

The two of them played outside for the whole day. It was only after dinner did the two of them return to

their respective homes.

Alyssa did not drive her car today. She first sent Justin away before she arranged for a taxi on the

Internet.

But because it was peak hour, she had to wait in line.

She called for a taxi, then took out her phone to browse WeChat Moments.

In the end, she saw Justin posting his new WeChat Moments.

Apart from the photos of the dishes they ate for dinner, Justin also sent a photo of the two of them

together, which was attached with words, "I'm very happy today. You have to come and play with me

often."

Alyssa smiled and gave him a thumbs up. When she refreshed the webpage again, she saw Emmett

commenting on Justin's WeChat Moments - stop.

Through the phone screen, Alyssa could feel the dissatisfaction in Emmett's "stop" comment.

Fortunately, she had already figured out Emmett's character. He was just a petty person.

Standing at the side of the road, Alyssa was still talking about Emmett when Emmett called her the next

second.

The first thing Emmett said was... "You hung out with Justin for a whole day?"

"Yes."

Alyssa said and thought how this petty man would react.

However, two seconds later, Emmett replied plainly. "Oh."

Alyssa, “…”

She was confused.

Was he angry and pretending to be cool?

At this time, Emmett said, "Go back early."

"I know."

The two of them did not say much before hanging up the phone.

Alyssa curled her lips and snorted. This man specially called, yet he did not seem to say anything.

The call time was less than two minutes.

What a petty man!

The car she asked for hadn't arrived yet.

Suddenly, a woman's voice came from behind interrupting Alyssa’s thoughts, "Miss Moore."

Alyssa was shocked when she suddenly heard someone calling her. She turned her head and saw that

it was Frances. Only then did she heave a sigh of relief.

She calmed down and asked when she came back to her senses, "Is there anything I can do for you,

Madam Backer?”

"Yes." Frances nodded and spoke slowly, "I hope Miss Moore does not always keep looking for our

Justin to play with. He is a child and it is important for him to study at this age.”

She said it with such an official tone that people would think Alyssa was really troubling Justin in his

studies. She just did not want Alyssa to have any contact with Justin.

Frances's words were much more beautiful than Kathleen's. But it could not hide the fact that she was

hiding a knife in her words.

"Madame Backer cares so much about Justin. Does he know? If he knew what you said to me, I don't

know what he will think about it." Alyssa was very disgusted with Frances.

She was disgusted by many people in Lawrence family.

"Miss Moore, this is business between adults. Please don't interfere Justin in it." Frances's tone did not

change and she did not seem to be in a hurry. She looked very magnanimous.

Frances was still older than Kathleen in terms of both age and experience, so she was very calm and

generous.

Kathleen was proud and arrogant. She did not take a liking to Alyssa, so she did not speak politely.

Alyssa looked at Frances and slowly said, "Madame Backer, in terms of seniority, you are an elder. The

age difference between me and Justin is not very big. In front of you, I am only a child. I am not an

adult."

After she finished speaking, she smiled at Frances.
