Yvonne drove Rosalie to the hospital. Rosalie kept checking the time, feeling anxious. "Vonnie, can you drive
faster?"
"Rosalie, | know you want to see him, but calm down. There's a speed limit. If I go too fast and we get stopped by
the traffic police, you won't be able to see him."
Rosalie took a deep breath. She was indeed too anxious. She was about to see Theodore, and the closer the
moment came, the more anxious she felt.
"The weather was fine just a moment ago, and now it's raining again," Yvonne remarked as she noticed the
water droplets on the windshield. She turned on the wipers. Rosalie turned her head to look at the rain hitting
the window, and a wave of sadness suddenly washed over her. She even felt a strong sense of unease.
"Rose, when you see him, what do you plan to say?" Yvonne asked.
Rosalie shook her head. "I don't know. My mind is a mess. Right now, | just want to see him. | guess the first
thing I'd do is apologize."
"But what if he doesn't accept your apology? He doesn't even want to see you, but you're still going to visit him.
What if he shuts the door in your face?" "Then I'll speak to him from outside the door."
She had to tell Theodore that she was pregnant. She could no longer keep this from him. She had to tell him
herself.
This message wasn't something anyone else could relay. If Theodore found out from someone else, who knew
what kind of reaction he might have.
Everyone else knew-except him.

anger at.
Yvonne didn't ask further questions, and continued driving. The hospital was quite far; they had to drive from the
southern district to the northern district. However, according to the GPS, they were only about ten minutes away
from their destination.
Suddenly, a figure dashed across the road through the rain. Yvonne immediately hit the brakes.
With a screech, Rosalie's body jolted, but thankfully, she was wearing a seatbelt and was unharmed.
"What happened?" Rosalie asked, having been lost in thought and unaware of what had just occurred.
"Rose, stay in the car," Yvonne said. She unbuckled her seatbelt, grabbed an umbrella from the glove
compartment, and got out of the car.
Through the window, Rosalie saw Yvonne talking to someone near the front of the car. It seemed someone had
suddenly darted onto the road, and Yvonne might have hit him.
However, since he was standing, he didn't appear to be seriously injured, though he seemed to be arguing with
Yvonne.
Just as Rosalie was about to get out of the car, Yvonne quickly cover to the window and said, "Rose, it's
raining outside. Stay in the car and don't get out. I'll handle this. I'm almost done."
"Vonnie, is everything alright? He looks pretty upset," Rosalie said, concerned.
"It's fine. You just stay put. Remember, you promisedyou'd listen to whatever | say."
Rosalie nodded.
Yvonne returned to the person and continued talking. After a while, the man took out his phone and made a call,
preventing Yvonne from leaving. Soon, a traffic police car arrived on the scene.
Rosalie was growing increasingly
anxious as she watched the
situation unfold. Twas ticking by. They were only ten minutes

An hour passed amidst the commotion.
Finally, everything was settled. It was already nine when Yvonne returned to the car, and she wiped the sweat
from her forehead.
