Theodore looked at her, unsure of what to say at that moment.
He had indeed wronged Cynthia. He had no right to argue back.

"And what about this woman?" Cynthia asked. "What are you going to do? You abandoned me, and now you're planning to be with this Aurora?" "Cindy," Theodore interrupted her. "You'll find a better man. If that's the indifferent attitude you want to take, then there really is nothing left to say between us." Cynthia wiped away her tears. "Go ahead and stay here with your Aurora. Theo, I hate you! Theodore didn't chase after her, letting her leave. Everything was his own doing, so no matter how much Cynthia hated or blamed him, he would accept it.
He leaned wearily against the wall, exhaling a long breath.
"Rose, am I really that foolish? Why didn't I just die back then?" About half an hour later, Aurora woke up. When she saw Theodore standing by the bed, a wave of joy filled her heart. He was still here.

Theodore turned around and said, "I've answered. Whether you believe it or not is up to you." He then made to leave again.
"No, don't go." Aurora, agitated, got out of the bed. "Wait!" With a loud thud, she fell off the bed.
Theodore turned around, his brows furrowed. He wanted to reach out to help her but pulled his hand back. If he kept helping her, she would get the wrong idea.
