The people surrounding Lu Jinye had no idea who he was. But they were enthusiastically asking for a
photo and requested his signature anyway.
It was too late when Mu Zhi realized this. Lu Jinye had been completely fenced in by the crowd, and it
was a mission impossible to bring him out of what seemed like hundreds of bodies.
Regardless, Mu Zhi bit the bullet and squeezed through the crowd viciously. She ultimately managed to
seize Lu Jinye’s hand, pulling him away, and dashed towards the movie hall.
All she could do was to put all hopes on the ticket taker to block out the mysterious group of fans that

The movie was coming off the screen soon, so not many had purchased the ticket to the movie in the
first place. However, after the ordeal that just occurred, the tickets to the movie were almost sold out.
Many fans bought the tickets just to be able to share the movie hall with Lu Jinye.
The movie was almost starting when Mu Zhi and Lu Jinye found their seats in the hall, and they were
the only two inside.

In the dimly lit movie hall, where the source of the light was only the movie screen itself, Mu Zhi stole a
glance at Lu Jinye.
He rocked his usual poise with a dash of smugness, not caring about what was happening around him.
Lu Jinye put up a pretentiously gullible front as he teased Mu Zhi, “What is it? Surprised by the power
of my charms?”
Mu Zhi silently plugged her mouth with a handful of popcorn.
The Titanic was a tear-jerking romance movie, where couples were supposed to engross themselves in
the story of Jack and Rose. But instead of feeling like Rose DeWitt Bukater, Mu Zhi felt like she was
Rose’s mother, Ruth.
The ladies who were lucky enough to secure a seat around Lu Jinye would intermittently brush past
him by pretending like they were going to the toilet, making Mu Zhi, or Ruth, the obstacle in their self-
imaginary love story with Lu Jinye.
Mu Zhi could take it no longer.
At her current age, it had been a while since she was struck by jealousy. Thanks to Lu Jinye, she had
relived the jealousy which she had not felt since she was a teenager.
In the past, when Mu Zhi and Lu Junnian were dating, they would frequently stumble upon juniors of
their college who confessed their love for him. She would later carefully handle her relationship with Lu
Junnian, afraid that he would be stolen away from her.
But Lu Jinye was even worse.
In the end, she decided that she had enough.
Around forty minutes into the movie, Mu Zhi dragged Lu Jinye off his seat and pulled him out of the
movie hall.
It did not seem to bother Lu Jinye. It appeared that he had enjoyed it.
After getting into the car with Mu Zhi, he acted like a naïve man, “What is it? Why aren’t we finishing
the movie? Are you worried that my charms are too potent?”
Mu Zhi massaged her temples to soothe her light headache, then peered at him, “Why did you
suddenly ask to see the movie? Did you just want to flex your charms?”
Lu Jinye pouted his lips.
“I just want to go on a date with you, but… I didn’t expect to screw it up.”
He said in a genuine attitude.
Mu Zhi almost believed in Lu Jinye.
She was a little touched by his gesture.
Upon pondering briefly, she said, “Then let’s move our date back home. We shall see a movie when we
get home, and then have dinner after.”
She couldn’t bear to risk dining out with Lu Jinye anymore.

Mu Zhi searched for a movie, then played it in the TV room.

scenes are a part of it.”
In response, Lu Jinye uttered something that almost made her choke on her saliva. “It doesn’t matter
even if you have. You don’t need to explain yourself. After all, you’ve witnessed my charms, it’s normal
that you want to surmount me.”

Mu Zhi could feel her ears burning.
When she turned to look at Lu Jinye, she found him staring back at her affectionately.
“Umm… Do you feel warm? Let me bring us two glasses of iced watermelon juice.”
Mu Zhi could feel the awkwardness in the air. She hastily stood up and prepared to bolt.
However, Lu Jinye seized her hand and then breathed into her ear, “You never used to lay these subtle
groundworks before having your desires fulfilled.”
It was purely a misunderstanding.
No groundwork was laid to anything whatsoever.
Mu Zhi felt the need to explain, but Lu Jinye had leaned in too close. She could feel the strength
draining out of her body.
The warmth of his breath fanned the surface of her skin.
Mu Zhi was almost touching Lu Jinye’s lips when she cranked around.
His lips were tender and chilly.
Just what she needed to quench the heat of her body in this instance.
Before she could make a move on him, Lu Jinye had already started pouncing on her.
