Chapter 202 Lu Jinye’s Sweet-Talk
It was a sunny day in the following morning.
Mu Zhi woke up to a heavily sore body, spanning every inch of her muscle to her bones. Meanwhile, Lu
Jinye was as spirited as always.
After getting dressed, Lu Jinye turned around and headed Mu Zhi a tie.
He tilted his chin upwards, quietly waiting for Mu Zhi.
The smirk on his face was irresistible.
Lu Jinye somehow rocked a tough, yet pretty face. Without wearing a smile, he seemed a little distant
but curving his lips slightly upward gave him a captivating appearance.
Mu Zhi looked at him helplessly, wondering to herself since when did he start insisting her to do her tie.

She slowly approached him, received the tie from his hand, and put the tie on him as she asked, “Are
you looking to make me your full-time wife?”
“If you want to, it doesn’t bother me otherwise. I just want you to be yourself.”
Yet another affectionate string of words.
Mu Zhi was started to sweat on her forehead.
Lu Jinye had been sweet-talking more than he ever had.
Although it did not seem deliberate coming from him, an ordinary remark sounded like heart-melting
words to Mu Zhi.
Mu Zhi locked her eyes with Lu Jinye. After doing the tie, she said, “I’m preparing to pick up Xiaomu
from Xiaoning’s place later, I’ll drop Xiaomu off at school before going to work.”
“Let me go with you.”
Lu Jinye paused his movements, lifted his wrist to check the time, and said.
“Don’t, we’re still a target of paparazzi at the moment, I think we should avoid being seen together.”
“We have been together quite often lately, and literally turning two of us into one in the bedroom.”
Lu Jinye said with a composed front.

Mu Zhi’s jaw almost dropped to the ground at the sound of it. Looking at the faint, sardonic grin on his
face, Mu Zhi was exasperated. She did not know what to say to refute him.
H-h-he… What is he trying to say?

In the end, she came back to her senses and glared at Lu Jinye peevishly. She seized her coat and
burst out the door, refusing to waste another second on Lu Jinye.
If she had gone along with Lu Jinye, she was worried that Lu Jinye would start whipping out his purple
helmeted warrior of love once again, stopping her from leaving home.
Lu Jinye seemed to have ceaseless desires for her.
Although she too enjoyed getting the pink castle attacked, she figured that it was more appropriate that
the two of them assert some self-control.
Mu Zhi stepped through the door, put on her shades and hat, and fixed her coat to perfect her disguise.
But all of a sudden, Lu Jinye brushed past her, opened the door, and said to her, “Let’s go, I’ll give you
a ride.”
Mu Zhi looked at him with a stern face, “Everyone has been reproaching us over the internet. Just let
me sneak out to pick up Xiaomu, I think that’s much harder to get spotted.”
But Lu Jinye clutched both of her hands solemnly, “I thought about announcing our relationship to the
public. I hope to tell everyone that you are my loved one. If that troubles you, I’d be even more upset.”
“Fine, I will handle the situation and leave you to bring Xiaomu for now.”
Following that, Lu Jinye did not push Mu Zhi further. He put the car key in Mu Zhi’s palm, turned
around, and took another car to work.

As soon as he arrived at the office, Lu Jinye requested Linda to draft a statement specifically to
announce his relationship with Mu Zhi to the public.
However, Linda’s command of language was a little too formal to his liking. Lu Jinye kept a scowl as he
read the statement. He was not impressed.
After several amendments from Linda, he was still not content with the outcome. Thus, he ended up
logging into his social media account and posted a few words, ‘Life is meaningless without being able
to chase after what one desires. I thank everyone with a conscience for your understanding.’
He logged out immediately after tapping on the ‘post’ button.
Then, he gathered all of the managers from several departments to make an important announcement.
Firstly, on Mu Zhi’s name, he donated funds to five hospitals to give free body check-ups to the single
mothers out there.
Following that, on Mu Xiaomu’s name, he donated funds to a junior school providing access to
education for more kids.
Lastly, he made a pleading to the public to give him and Mu Zhi a little space to love.
Moreover, Lu Jinye used Xiao Qingqing’s name to form a film production company that focused on
building up her image. He also engaged with several superstars and large brands for collaboration.
All of these were Xiao Qingqing’s dream partners and partnerships which she could never secure
judging on her current capabilities.
The former few announcements were built upon the basis of love, while the last one was an effort to
fulfill Xiao Qingqing’s dreams. Lu Jinye called each of the brand representatives personally and spoke
in an unprecedentedly soft way.
He finally secured the collaboration after a series of enticing.
After making the preparations, Lu Jinye returned to the office to wait for the execution of the tasks.
He sat leaning against the back of his chair, preparing to get a few minutes of rest before his phone
rang.
The call came from Mu Zhi.
“Strange. I thought I would run into paparazzi throughout the day, but things went rather smooth today.
Besides, Xiaomu did not get harassed at school at all.”
Mu Zhi sounded exceptionally glad through the phone, speaking in a relaxed tone.
Listening to the words, Lu Jinye could not resist letting out a dazzling smile. He said teasingly, “Maybe
your disguise worked.”
Mu Zhi pondered for a moment, “Yeah, that should be it.”
She hung up the call after that and headed to the company.
As soon as she stepped into the building, she could feel a mysterious air coming over her. It was not
news to everyone that she was Lu Jinye’s ex-wife and they were currently seeing each other.
The bothersome scandals had been pestering her for the past few days. During those days, she could
sense the entire office peeping at her in speculation.
However, all she received was envious gazes!

Wondering to herself, she headed towards the chairman’s office. At the door, she met Linda, who
exclaimed, “I think the chairman has really fallen in love this time. Look at everything he did for you!”
Linda was up to her ears in work. She left a brief remark to Mu Zhi before scurrying past her.
Her words put Mu Zhi in a daze.
Mu Zhi hastily chased up to Linda to ask what Lu Jinye did.
