Chapter 203 I Am Happy Just to Have You
Mu Zhi stayed where she stood and didn’t move. She was shocked still.
She did not expect Lu Jinye to spend this much time on this… Everyone knew that charity work took a
lot of time and would be a long arduous process. If Lu Jinye was seriously invested in this, it would take
up a lot of his time.
Mu Zhi had never thought that Lu Jinye would be the kind of person to spend time doing this.

him. When she reached him, she gently placed her hands lightly on his shoulders. Lu Jinye turned his
head to look at her in alarm.
He relaxed when he saw who it was.
“Why are you here?”
“If I didn’t come, how would I find out that despite how invincible Mr. Lu might seem, he still gets tired?”
Lu Jinye couldn’t help but smile when he heard Mu Zhi’s voice.
He turned and pulled her into his embrace. Lu Jinye softly said, “The only time I’m not tired is when you
entice me. In fact, all other times, I feel pretty tired.”

Mu Zhi snorted. She smiled as she shrugged him off then turned to look at him. “I came to discuss
something serious with you.”
“What did you want to discuss?”
Lu Jinye frowned.
Mu Zhi gave him a gentle look and smiled, “Just… I don’t think you need to do all this for me. Those

With one hand, Lu Jinye pulled her back into his embrace and explained with a laugh, “I’m not doing
this for you. I just want you to be happy.”
“I’m happy just to have you.”

such joy.
When she found out that this was all made possible by Lu Jinye, she was touched.
“If it made you happy, then I’ll expect a good performance tonight.”

In a split second, the warm tenderness he had disappeared.
His voice was low as he spoke, “Go ahead first.”
Mu Zhi trusted Lu Jinye. She also understood that right now, all three of them were in an awkward
position. If she stayed, it would only complicate things.
She quickly nodded and all trace of their earlier warm familiarity was gone. She slowly walked towards
the door.
She was especially careful as she passed Xiao Qingqing.
When she left, Mu Zhi gave both Xiao Qingqing and Lu Jinye some privacy and carefully shut the door.
A heavy air seemed to descent upon the room the moment Mu Zhi shut the door.
Xiao Qingqing could tell that Lu Jinye had reverted to his usual cold demeanor.
So… Lu Jinye did not treat everyone this coldly and aloofly… He was only like that towards people he
was not as close to.
But Xiao Qingqing didn’t mind. She smiled as she slowly made her way to him. She lifted her face to
look at him coquettishly.
“Those big brand endorsements you’ve carefully prepared for me are really too thoughtful! I couldn’t
have gotten those contracts on my credit alone.”
Xiao Qingqing smiled widely.
Lu Jinye’s expression was its usual coldness, “I know that it’s your dream.”
“Then I’ll need to thank you.”
