Chapter 204 Who Would You Choose, Your Own Flesh and Blood, or Mu Zhi?
Lu Jinye frowned. He stared at the hysterical Xiao Qingqing for a long while before replying, “Sorry.”
After a pause he added, “I will grant you anything you want.”
“And if I want for you and Mu Zhi to separate and get back together with me. Can you grant this?”
Xiao Qingqing said softly as her tears softly dripped down her face.
But Lu Jinye shrugged her hand away and said, “Sorry.”
Xiao Qingqing lifted her head and wiped away her tears saying, “Fine! It doesn’t matter!”
After finishing, she smiled and said, “Give all your endorsements to your other artists. I don’t need
them. All I’ve ever wanted was your love. If I don’t have that, I don’t need anything else.”
Xiao Qingqing turned to leave and headed towards the door.
When she reached the door, she stopped.
She didn’t turn and said loud enough for Lu Jinye to hear, “Lu Jinye, if come one day when you need to
choose between your own flesh and blood and Mu Zhi, who would you choose?”
Lu Jinye looked at Xiao Qingqing, “What are you planning?”
Xiao Qingqing laughed lightly and turned to look at Lu Jinye, “I’m not planning anything. It was just a
joke. Relax, I will give birth to this child. After all, this is the last gift you have given me.”
After saying this, Xiao Qingqing definitively walked out.
She had never performed so well in her life. But by the time she walked out of Lu Jinye’s office, she
could no longer tell if her tears were real or if they were from her performance.
She did not wipe them but instead, just let them flow.
Xiao Qingqing had no intention of making Lu Jinye choose between Mu Zhi and her flesh and blood.
The choice he had to make would be between Mu Zhi and Mu Zhi’s own flesh and blood.
Xiao Qingqing realized that she did not have the strength to drive. With her current condition, she could
not drive. Instead, she called for a cab. When she got on, she made a phone call.
“Have you arranged everything for me?”
“I’ve contacted them, and the directorial team needs a girl for a scene in the mountains but…”

“Are you sure that it’s okay? She’ll have to be alone in the mountains with no adults with her. Some

Xiao Qingqing was happy. “Hurry and get it done! Find someone to go to the kindergarten and get the

She looked up only to see the driver staring at her suspiciously. She coughed awkwardly and took off
her sunglasses. “I’m an actress. I was practicing my lines just then. I hope I didn’t scare you.”
The cab driver glanced at her through the rear view mirror. She indeed looked like a star. With the
rumors floating around with him and Lu Jinye, the driver easily recognized her.
When she realized that the driver recognized her, Xiao Qingqing put the sunglasses back on.
Xiao Qingqing paid the driver when she reached home and got out of the car. She was about to enter
the house when she noticed Shen Mobo waiting for her.
“Where did you go?”
“I went to Lu Jinye’s.”
Xiao Qingqing was blunt and did not hide it from Shen Mobo. She entered the pin code and entered the
house. Shen Mobo followed her in.
“What did you do at Lu Jinye’s?”
Xiao Qingqing walked in and took out her luggage. She started to pack her things into it whilst Shen
Mobo followed her from behind, questioning her.
“You know where I went to do so why do you need to ask?”
Xiao Qingqing shot back.
She continued packing as she spoke.
Shen Mobo took a deep breath before looking at her, “Can we give up, please? Just stay with me. You,
me and our child, living happily together.”
Shen Mobo earnestly tried to persuade her.
But Xiao Qingqing looked at him through her sunglasses and shook her head, “If I had wanted you, I
would have chosen you years ago. I believe that if I try hard enough, I’ll get what I want.”
Xiao Qingqing said calmly.
It was as if she was talking about the weather. But the calmer she seemed, the scarier she was.
Shen Mobo was angry with her. With how cruel she was towards him.
He walked towards her quickly. He wanted her to look him in the eye as he spoke to her.
Only now did he notice that she was wearing her sunglasses as she packed. She was still wearing
them as she spoke to him.
Shen Mobo asked her curiously, “Qingqing, why are you wearing sunglasses?”
With this, Xiao Qingqing lowered her head again.
She then turned her back towards Shen Mobo and said, “Is there anything else you want? If not, I have
a plane to catch. I need to distract myself.”
Shen Mobo suddenly stepped forwards and stopped Xiao Qingqing.
Xiao Qingqing wanted to dodge but Shen Mobo ripped the sunglasses off her face.
In that moment, Shen Mobo came face to face with Xiao Qingqing’s tear-stained, bloodshot eyes.
Any reprimand he had towards her disappeared. What was left was worry towards her.
“Why are you crying? Was I too harsh?”
But Xiao Qingqing did not explain herself. Instead, she grabbed her suitcases and walked towards the
door.
Shen Mobo rushed after her.
Xiao Qingqing got in the car and Shen Mobo followed behind her. She was heading to the airport but
Shen Mobo did not know which flight she was getting on. Shen Mobo ordered his assistant to buy one
ticket of each flight.
Xiao Qingqing did not stop him.
After all, she had to have a witness to prove her innocence regarding Mu Xiaomu’s disappearance.
Shen Mobo was a suitable candidate for the role.
Finally, Xiao Qingqing got on a flight to Japan and Shen Mobo went with her.
