Chapter 222 Are You Remarrying Lu Jinye?
Mu Zhi paused a while. She could feel the warmth of Lu Jinye’s broad palm. She held his hand back
tightly.
The two of them slowly strolled towards the center of the park. There was a space in the center of the
park, with a lake in the middle of it.
While Lu Jinye was setting up the tent, Mu Zhi saw the reflection of the moonlight in the middle of the
lake.
There was a little wooden boat in the lake. Mu Zhi stared at the boat for a while. After Lu Jinye was
done setting up the tent, he walked to Mu Zhi’s side.
“Come, let’s get onto the boat for a while.”
Mu Zhi was surprised. It was already late and quiet. Lu Jinye and her were not teenagers who were
keen on the likes of moonlight and romantic atmosphere. They were way past that age.
However, Mu Zhi could see herself leisurely rocking in the water as she heard Lu Jinye’s suggestion.
So, she gave her hand to Lu Jinye.
After Lu Jinye got onto the boat himself, he reached out and brought Mu Zhi onto the boat carefully.
The moonlight seemed brighter from the view on the boat. Its elegant light spilled gracefully onto the
boat, forming shadows of them stretching across the surface of the water as they gazed at the sky
above them. The boat was let to float to the middle of the lake.
Mu Zhi laid aside and suddenly spoke to Lu Jinye, “When I was young, I recall always being bullied in
school because I did not have a father. One day, I tried to run away from home in search of my father.
But I got lost in the park.”
The peaceful air was a perfect match with Mu Zhi’s gentle voice.
It made the surroundings even more serene.
“Then I sat on the swing and kept crying. I wept until it got dark and there were stars in the sky. When I
raised my head and saw the starry sky, I felt all my troubles disappear right at that instance.”
Lu Jinye quietly admired Mu Zhi from the side as she spoke, his hand gently holding onto hers firmly.
After some moment, Mu Zhi asked Lu Jinye, “Lu Jinye, if we get married, will we not divorce anymore?”
Lu Jinye grunted in compliance.
Mu Zhi silenced for a bit and said, “I grew up without a father, so I understand how eager Mu Xiaomu is

Hence, after Lu Jinye went to work, Mu Zhi flagged down a cab to the cemetery where her late mother
rested.
She slowly walked towards her mother’s resting place after she got out of the car. To her surprise, from
afar, she saw a man standing in front of the grave.
She could only catch a glimpse of his strong and sturdy back. He was wearing a black trench coat, and
its corners were raised from the wind’s breath.
He bowed at the grave slowly and put some daisies in front of it. Then he moved his lips as if he was
speaking.
Mu Zhi walked nearer as she couldn’t make out what the man was saying.
It was the start of autumn, so leaves were all over the place. The leaves on the ground made rustling
sounds when stepped onto.
Hearing footsteps approaching, the man turned around hurriedly towards the direction of the footsteps.
Mu Zhi saw the man’s face clearly.
“Dr. Bai Shao?”
Mu Zhi could not believe that she saw Dr. Bai Shao at this place.
When Bai Shao saw Mu Zhi, he smiled unnaturally and said, “I met your mother in the States during
her treatment and we had a small talk with each other. I was shocked by the news of her passing, so I
came for a visit.”
Mu Zhi did not suspect anything wrong with what he said.
She had experienced this feeling too when she was having her practical as a medical student. When a
doctor gets acquainted with their patients, sometimes they’ll be missed when they leave.
“Thank you.”
Mu Zhi said. Then she put the daisies that she brought in front of her mother’s grave.
Bai Shao looked at Mu Zhi and wanted to leave.
But Mu Zhi stopped him, “Dr. Bai, do give me a moment, I shall walk you out.”
“I’m not driving and it’s difficult to flag a cab here.”
Bai Shao could not refuse Mu Zhi having said that.
Mu Zhi cleaned up her mother’s grave. Perhaps it was Bai Shao’s presence that made her feel better.
So, she finished up quite quickly.
When Mu Zhi followed Bai Shao out of the cemetery, she asked him more questions about her mother.
Bai Shao only talked about trivial daily matters.
He did not say much.
She didn’t realize… She did not notice Bai Shao’s presence at all in the past as they had little contact.
But today she felt more intimate towards him – perhaps it was because he visited her mother’s grave,
so she opened up more towards him.
After the both of them got into the car, they headed towards the city.
There was nothing out of the blue at first.
But as they reached the city, Mu Zhi was dumbfounded!
The proposal Lu Jinye made the night before was too simple. However, today, he had all the

advertisements whatsoever, display his confession of love towards Mu Zhi.
While they were waiting for the traffic light, Mu Zhi could feel Bai Shao’s eyes on those advertisements.
