Chapter 312 She Wanted to Stay by Lu Jinye’s Side
Xiao Qingqing starred at the woman in disbelief. She glared at Shen Mobo anxiously. Shen Mobo quickly
put a stop to Xiao Qingqing and Man Moer. He frowned and said to Man Moer, “You leave first.”
Man Moer picked up her clothes and dressed, all the while staring at Shen Mobo. “Did you forget how
much it hurt before?” She reminded Shen Mobo.
Shen Mobo instantly became cold. He didn’t answer Man Moer. Instead, he waved her towards the door.
Man Moer had no intention of staying. She put on her coat and left.
The room was now left with just Shen Mobo and Xiao Qingqing. Xiao Qingqing sat on the bed. Her
anxiousness showing on her face. “Who is she?” She asked.
She asked as if she was Shen Mobo’s girlfriend and had a right to know.
Shen Mobo glanced at the door and said, “A girl that I’m playing around with. What’s the matter? You’ve
never cared about the women I play around with.”
Shen Mobo sat down on the couch and lit a cigarette.
Xiao Qingqing didn’t believe him. “She’s definitely not one of those you play around with. Tell me.”

“She’s just someone I’m playing with. I give her money, and she’ll come play with me.”
Shen Mobo did not explain further.
But his unwillingness to explain infuriated Xiao Qingqing even more.
She stood up suddenly and walked towards Shen Mobo. Xiao Qingqing snatched his cigarette away from
him and stubbed it out angrily. “Shen Mobo! You’re lying to me! Who is she?”
Shen Mobo answered simply, “Man Moer!”
“Shen Mobo! What do you think you’re doing?”
Xiao Qingqing was furious and raised her voice at him.
Shen Mobo looked at her and said quietly, “What else can I do? I don’t want anything else. I just want to
live happily and enjoy life. My son is dead. My woman is warming some other man’s bed. What do you
think I’m doing?!”
He yelled at Xiao Qingqing.
He did not have anything more to say to her. Shen Mobo stood up and walked out the door.
Now, Xiao Qingqing was left standing by herself in a daze.
The door closing behind Shen Mobo awoke her from her daze. She stared at the closed door and only
then remembered the reason she had came here in the first place.
After Lu Jinye had ended things with her, she had come seeking help. She had hoped that Shen Mobo
would help her in keeping Lu Jinye by her side.
But… Things turned out this way…
She had let Shen Mobo leave.
And there was another woman. Was she done? Did she also mean nothing to Shen Mobo?
Xiao Qingqing stood in panic and quickly went downstairs to look for Shen Mobo.
But only the woman who had traded insults with her was there. There was no Shen Mobo.
Man Moer noticed Xiao Qingqing and glanced at her while smoking.
Xiao Qingqing looked at her in disdain and asked, “Where’s Shen Mobo?”
“I don’t work for you. Why should I tell you?” Man Moer replied in contempt.
She then stood up and walked to the bathroom.
Xiao Qingqing realized that it was useless to continue talking to her.
It was clear to her that if she delayed this any longer, the nightmare would only continue.
She was done with looking for Shen Mobo.
She got back on her car and made for Xie Xiu’s place.
Only to find out that Xie Xiu had gone back to the USA and wasn’t home.
Xiao Qingqing anxiously called Xie Xiu. When the call got through, she said in a hurry, “Mr. Xie, I’m here
to work with you.”
Xie Xiu laughed coldly, “You want to work with me? Forget about it. You go off on your own whenever
you work with people.”
These past few years, Xie Xiu had made a point of not working with Xiao Qingqing after their initial
problems at the beginning.
The both of them kept to their side of the river and never crossed boundary lines.
But this time, Xiao Qingqing took the initiative and called him. Xie Xiu thought it strange.
Xiao Qingqing explained herself in a hurry, “This is different from back then. I’m much calmer than

“Because Lu Jinye said that Mu Zhi had reappeared, and he wanted to divorce me.”
“If Lu Jinye divorces me, you’ll lose out on some opportunities. It will also be more difficult for you to get
more intel on Lu Jinye’s company. After all, I won’t be able to show up in his company as his wife any
longer.”
Xie Xiu was quiet. He walked out of his study.
His house in the USA was large. He ordered some people to figure out Mu Zhi’s whereabouts, but to no
avail.
Xie Xiu started to worry. He hung up on Xiao Qingqing without giving her an answer to her offer and
ordered the butler, “Investigate Mu Zhi’s route.”
Ten minutes later, the butler hastily made his way to Xie Xiu and said, “Someone who looked like her
went to the airport and got on a flight to City A. She has left for a while.”
Xie Xiu immediately ordered his people to get his private plane ready for take-off.
“There’s heavy rain in City A. We can’t fly there.” The butler reminded him.
But Xie Xiu could not be bothered with this. “Now!” He demanded.
The butler saw the state Xie Xiu was in and didn’t dare stop him.
Xie Xiu boarded the plane and flew to City A. He called Mu Zhi’s phone.

After the incident with Lu Jinye, Mu Zhi could not sleep. She was staring into nothing when the phone
rang.
Mu Zhi picked up the phone and was about to answer it when it died.
