Chapter 328 The Impulse To Hold Closely
Cold sweat oozed out of Mu Zhi’s back unconsciously when she heard this. She looked at the woman in
horror. Her voice trembled as she refuted, “I don’t believe you.”
The woman smiled as she gazed at Mu Zhi, “You don’t? It doesn’t matter as you are as gullible as a fish.
I’ll just take your son away no matter whether you believe it or not.”
Just as she finished, her subordinate behind her stepped forward to drag Eric away upon her orders. Eric
glanced at Mu Zhi. He bit his lip in thought.
He must buy time for Lu Jinye now. If Lu Jinye could rush over in time, he would be able to save him.
Eric thought to himself.
He looked at the woman and smiled at her.
“You look familiar. How should I address you?”
Eric had read up about Rao Xue when Lu Jinye asked him to check on her.
Therefore, Eric recognized Rao Xue the moment he saw her.

Rao Xue glanced at Eric in disdain. Thinking that he was a troublemaker in nature, she ignored him.
Eric tried to test Rao Xue further when he saw that he was scorned.
“Miss Rao Xue? You are Rao Xue.”
Eric exclaimed.
Mu Zhi did not know that this woman was Rao Xue. She only knew that this woman had come the last
time to tell her about her affair with Xie Xiu.
Rao Xue did not expect Eric to know her. She stared at Eric with her eyes widened in disbelief.
Mu Zhi stared at Rao Xue closely.
She repeated Rao Xue’s name in her heart… That woman was Rao Xue.
She was the person who signed off the letters written in blood that Mu Zhi had received.
“How did you know my name?”
Her grip on Eric tightened as she shot daggers at him with a fierce glare.
Mu Zhi got anxious watching them.
She rushed to Rao Xue’s side, and begged, “Let go of him. Don’t hurt him.”
Nevertheless, Eric stayed calm.
He asked clearly, “Miss Rao Xue, why did you capture us? For business with my dad?”
He tried her once more.
It didn’t matter if he angered Rao Xue. He intended to buy time.
So that Lu Jinye will have enough time to locate them.
Their journey over here was quite a distance, so Eric was worried that Lu Jinye needed more time to get
here.
Rao Xue cut Eric off impatiently, “Stop your bullshit. Me looking for your father has got nothing to do with
you.”
“Why did you send me letters written in blood? Did you and Xie Xiu really have a relationship? What
have I stolen from you?”
When Mu Zhi confirmed that the woman was Rao Xue, she looked at Rao Xue carefully and started
expressing her doubts.
Rao Xue had a frown fixed onto her forehead.
She had initially planned to test Xie Xiu with Eric.
But her plan was revealed now by a child!
“I have had a past with your husband. And it’s not just once. You can ask him yourself.”
“We should stop wasting time and call Xie Xiu right away.”
Rao Xue tugged Eric out as she finished speaking.
Just at that moment, a car was heard approaching them.

Eric glanced at the woman beside him, then at Rao Xue again.

He smiled confidently at Rao Xue.
Rao Xue glanced at Eric, and then at Mu Zhi. She hesitated for a while.
She threw something at Mu Zhi and ran away.
Mu Zhi thought it was a bomb.
But luckily it wasn’t a bomb… It was just a model that looked like a prison.
Mu Zhi didn’t know why but when Mu Zhi saw the model, she felt familiar.
“Give this to your husband and tell him to keep an eye on you, or I’ll come for you again.”
After saying this, Rao Xue quickly disappeared.
When Eric and Mu Zhi were freed, Mu Zhi quickly untied Eric.
She held the model and looked at it carefully.
Did this woman just release her like that? Was she just trying to warn Xie Xiu?
Mu Zhi was confused.

When she looked at Eric, he was also staring at the prison model curiously.
He frowned and memorized the model.

“Are you alright?”
Lu Jinye looked at Eric and asked.
Eric smiled.
He gently replied to Lu Jinye, “Fortunately you scared them away. That woman was Rao Xue.”
Eric told Lu Jinye about Rao Xue.
Lu Jinye fixed his gaze on Mu Zhi and didn’t say much.
He walked over to them both and put his arm over Eric’s shoulder, “Get in the car first.”
And he took them to the car.
Only when Mu Zhi sat in the car, she suddenly recalled Eric’s reaction in the warehouse. She asked Eric,
“Who is Rao Xue? Why do you know her?”
Mu Zhi was downright confused right now.
Eric glanced at Mu Zhi innocently and told her, “Mommy, I don’t know who Rao Xue is either.”
“She was a subordinate of your husband. They must have had a dispute. As for her relationship with
your husband, you might need to find out about it yourself.”
Eric had told Mu Zhi that he didn’t know because he was unsure whether he could tell her about Rao
Xue.
On the other hand, Lu Jinye simply mentioned it to her because he wanted her to learn about Xie Xiu
herself.
She would believe it more if she found it out herself!
