Chapter 122

Manley personally brought some people to find Lucille. As soon as the door opened, the men lying all

over the floor immediately stood up with fear in their eyes.

Frowning, Manley asked, “Where’s Lucille?”

Gary pointed to the bedroom door, trembling, “She’s in there!”

Manley walked over, opened the door and a foul smell hit him right in the face. He almost threw up.

The room was filthy, and Lucille was lying on the bed, looking neither dead nor alive.

Disgusted, Manley stepped back a few paces and had someone carry Lucille out, then took her straight

to the hospital.

Lucille wasn’t violated. After Jonathan left that day, she couldn’t get through to anyone on the phone.

Worried that Gary and the others might really hurt her, she immediately locked herself in the bedroom.

For the next seven days, someone brought food for them, but Lucille didn’t dare step outside the

bedroom. There was no food or water in the room, so only she knew how she had survived that week.

When Lucille first woke up in the hospital, she seemed a little off mentally. It took her three days to

slowly regain her senses, then she clung to her mother Kathryn, sobbing her heart out.

Kathryn’s heart broke, and she angrily told Manley, “I must seek revenge for my daughter!”

Manley sneered, “Revenge? From whom?”

Kathryn didn’t dare go after Jonathan, but she’d found out about Estelle. She clenched her teeth and

said, “That female student!”

Manley stood up with a smile on his lips, but his tone was cold, “If you do that, you’ll not only offend

Jonathan, but also me!”

Kathryn was stunned, “What do you mean?”

Manley pulled out a plane ticket and threw it on Lucille’s bed, “Forget about your revenge. This is a

ticket for the day after tomorrow. Send Lucille abroad, and don’t come back for a year or two, or I’ll

make sure she stays in here!”

With that, Manley left abruptly.

Surprised, Kathryn turned to look at Lucille, “What does he mean?”

Lucille stared blankly, then suddenly burst into tears again.

Two days later, Lucille left J City. Instead of taking the ticket Manley gave her to M Country, she went to

London to find someone who could completely defeat Estelle.

The news of Lucille being driven out of J City quickly spread among the socialites, though they didn’t

know the exact reason, just that it was Manley who’d kicked her out.

When Magdalen found out, she instinctively knew that Estelle was involved.

Lucille’s crush on Jonathan was an open secret, and Jonathan and Estelle had been getting closer.

Magdalen thought Lucille might have acted out of jealousy, so she invited Estelle out to eat and ask

about the incident.

Estelle was somewhat surprised. It had been ten days since she’d been kidnapped, and she

remembered hearing Jonathan on the phone with the kidnapper that night, but he’d never talked about

it. She thought the whole thing had already ended.

But now it seemed that Lucille had arranged for her kidnapping, so why was Manley helping her?

After their meal, Magdalen said, “Come on, let’s go relax and help you calm down.”

Estelle smiled softly, “It would be too late for me to wait for your calming me down. You’d just be buying

flowers for me in front of my graveyard.

Magdalen laughed, “What kind of flowers would you like? Roses?”

Estelle roiled her eyes and decided to ignore her.

Magdalen took her to Midnight Bar. As soon as they walked in, someone called Magdalen and invited

her to hang out.

Smiling, Magdalen held her phone. “Did you have someone secretly following me or something? I just

got to Midnight Bar, and you’re already asking me to come here.”

“Fine, no need to explain. I’ll be there soon, You better kneel down to greet me!”

After hanging up, Magdalen turned to Estelle with a smile. “A friend of mine is here. Let me introduce

you to him. You should get to know more people.”

Estelle looked clear and beautiful, “My future job doesn’t require me to interact with many people.”
