“Yeah, but I’ll be damned before I admit it!” Estelle said, her eyes flickering with an ounce of wit.
“Alright then, I’ll tell them it was me who fell for you first, and you just reluctantly accepted my love.”
Estelle chuckled. “If you put it that way, your family might suspect you’re defending me.”
“Catherine really likes you, she’d be over the moon even if you approached me on purpose.”
“What about Geoffrey?” Estelle asked anxiously
Jonathan pondered for a bit, saying. That was a misunderstanding. It was only because Victor Brown stirred up
trouble in front of Geoffrey that he started to question us. Now that the misunderstanding has been cleared up,
Geoffrey won’t oppose us.”

calling her Mrs. Lamont?” Estelle’s face instantly flushed.
“It’s okay, Estelle. You can call me whatever you want!” Catherine gently inspected Estelle and asked, “Are your
eyes okay now?”
Estelle nodded. “They’re better now.
“Oh, sweetie, you’ve had a tough time, haven’t you?” Catherine’s eyes were full of sympathy, she held Estelle’s
hand tightly and said. “It’s okay, all the difficulties of the past are over. From now on, you’re part of the Lamont
family; no one will dare bully you!”
Estelle was taken aback by Catherine’s enthusiasm. She felt a little awkward, but more than that, she felt guilty.
