Emily was confused. “Are there people trying to stop my brother from getting promoted? But shouldn’t working
harder make it easier for him to get promoted?”
Charlie responded, “No, sometimes working too hard is just a waste of time and could lead to mistakes. This is just
a manipulative tactic used by some seasoned bosses.”
