Chapter 363

Manley spoke gently, “I’m going to K Country next week. Wanna come with me?”

The girl pursed her lips shyly and whispered, “Just the two of us? Would that be appropriate?”

“You just need to tell me if you want to go or not,” Manley said with a smile, looking at the young girl

in front of him.

The girl’s eyes sparkled with joy. She twirled her eyes and said, “Let’s forget about the trip for a sec,

you said you had a role for me before. What’s happening with that?”

Manley chuckled playfully, “I was touched that you came to me, but it turns out it’s just for the role.”

“No, it’s not!” The girl frowned immediately, clearly caring about Manley. “If I just wanted a role, my dad

could help me. I came to you because…”

The girl blushed and lowered her head, hesitating to continue.

Manley’s smile deepened, “I understand. Even if you didn’t come to me today, I would’ve called you

tonight.”

The girl looked up at him, her eyes a mix of joy and shyness.

Just then, the girl’s phone rang. She took it out and said softly, “It’s my dad, I have to go. Call me when

you’re done, let’s talk on the phone.”

“Yeah, go ahead!” Manley’s voice was deep and gentle.

The girl happily turned around and left. Manley was about to return to the private room when he saw

Estelle leaning against the wall looking at her phone.

His face was handsome and relaxed as he walked over to Estelle with a gentle smile, “Were you

waiting for me here?”

Estelle walked up to him, her clear eyes shining like stars, “I thought you went to all this trouble to set

this up to screw over Jonathan. Turns out I underestimated you. You’re looking to fish in troubled

waters.”

Manley raised an eyebrow, looking puzzled at her.

Estelle continued, “You insisted on replacing Mr. Daly’s lead actress, but you know I’m not an actress

and wouldn’t do a movie. So you just used me as a cover to win over that girl.”

Manley squinted at Estelle for a moment before chuckling, raising an eyebrow, “Are you jealous?”

Estelle resisted the urge to punch him in the face.

Manley stepped closer, his tall figure casting a shadow over Estelle. He tilted his head slightly, his smile

fading as he looked deeply into her eyes, “You really think so little of me! If I want Nanette Waldo, she’s

mine for the taking. Do you really think I’d go through all this trouble? I put in all this effort to take

revenge for you, but you believe I’m that kind of person. It really breaks my heart!”

Estelle stared into his tender, passionate eyes, thinking about how many girls had been deceived by his

gentleness.

Charlie was far from being as scummy as Manley, at least when Charlie was with women, he was

focused and responsible. But Manley just looked down on the girls he played with from on high, treating

himself like a ruler.

Estelle’s gare was icy, “So you’re really just taking revenge for me?”

“Of course!” Manley stared at her.

Estelle nodded, “Alright, since you did it for me, I’m not mad anymore. Let Mr. Daly’s movie go and

don’t bother Hattie anymore.”

Manley frowned, “You didn’t see the disgusting way Hattie was acting towards Jonathan. I, as a man,

couldn’t stand it. Are you really not jealous at all, or are you saying…”

His tone became more expectant, “You really don’t like Jonathan at all?”

“My feelings for Jonathan and the movie are two separate things. I don’t need you to torment Hattie

over me.”

Manley was about to speak when he noticed someone approaching from the corner of his eye. He

leaned closer to Estelle, almost holding her in his arms, raised his voice, and laughed. “Babe, whatever

you say goes. I’ll listen to you!”

Upon hearing the word “babe,” Estelle had a bad feeling and instinctively looked back. Sure enough,

she saw Jonathan and Hattie coming their way.
