Just as he finished speaking, they heard sirens outside, and several police cars stopped. The police
got out of their cars, looked at the store name, and walked right in.
Xavier came out with a coffee pot and asked, “What’s going on?”
The front policeman was the captain of the local security team. He swept his eyes over everyone and
said coldly. “Someone reported that there was a fight here just now Who’s the owner?”
Before Xavier could speak, Jonathan stepped forward and said calmly, “I am, how can I help you?”
“Are you the owner?” The captain looked over Jonathan, who was dressed in expensive clothes and
had an imposing manner, his arrogancy diminishing, “It was your people who beat someone up?
What’s their name, show me your ID card!”
Jonathan took out a business card, “I didn’t bring my ID. Give the card to your chief”
The captain looked at Jonathan suspiciously, but when he saw the name on the card, his face
changed, and he looked at Jonathan in disbelief.
“It’s my store’s opening today and I can’t leave. But afterwards, I’ll personally go see your chief and talk
about what happened today!” Jonathan said calmly.
The captain’s face turned pale, and his tone changed, “No problem, it’s just a misunderstanding! Mr.
Lamont, just go ahead with your opening. We’ll call you if there’s anything!”
With that, he nodded and smiled, then left with the others.
One of the police officers didn’t understand what was happening and whispered, “Captain, what’s going
on? Why are we leaving just like that?”

Magdalen and Morrison didn’t react, but Damian and Zachary were dumbfounded, looking at Jonathan

Marcus had the nerve to be so arrogant because someone had his back. When the police came, they
thought they were in big trouble, but who would have thought, after a few words from Jonathan, they
left with their tails between their legs!
Xavier looked at Jonathan and said, “Mr. Lamont, we meet again!”
Jonathan replied, “I apologize for any offense last time. Please forgive me!”
“No, we were the ones who caused you trouble first.” Xavier laughed lightly, glancing at Estelle, “Since
you’re Estelle’s friend, you’re my friend too! Thank you for your help today!”
Jonathan smiled, “Since we’re friends, there’s no need to be polite!”
