Ryder quickly spun his head towards the door.
Agnes had just left.
Ryder scrunched his eyebrows, “So where you at?”
Jared responded, “I’m not far from your hospital, about fifteen minutes away.”

Jared arrived at the hospital two hours late.
He had to pay a fine for breaking traffic rules.
While having dinner with Ryder, Ryder asked, “You mentioned some sort of mishap earlier, what happened?”
He noticed that Jared was off today.
Ever since he arrived, he seemed to be lost in his own world.
Even though Jared had become colder and more silent over the years.
He had never been like this before, like… a lost soul.
Jared came back to reality, gave a forced smile, “Nothing, by the way, when are you planning to go back home?
You haven’t visited your mom and dad for quite a while.”
Ryder replied, “I’m really tied up.”
