| glance back at Zade. His heartbeat is steady, and | smile faintly, feeling relaxed.

| sit down on the bed beside him for a moment, simply gazing at his face.

Leaning over, | brush his hair off his forehead, my gaze dipping to his earring and then the small tattoo behind
his ear. He has several tattoos, from his hands. to his arms, his left breast, a few on his leg and a few on his
back. Most are symbols, skulls or words.

Kissing his cheek softly, | turn away and get off the bed, deciding to go shower, taking another clean towel with

Switching on the shower, | step under the stream of water and close my eyes as | roll my neck, enjoying the hot

Once showered, | step out, grab a towel, and wrap it around myself. Returning to
the bedroom; | walk over to his rack of clothes and pick up a shirt; | glance at the bed before | remove my towel,

I hold the towel to my breasts as | turn, relieved to see his eyes are open, my heart racing when | notice how
he’s drinking up my naked form, his gaze lingering on my thighs, which I'm barely covering with this tiny towel.
“I think | got all the fragments out. How are you feeling?” | ask breathlessly, turning away slightly, knowing I'm
giving him a full nude side profile, but deep down I'm enjoying his attention.
“Great.” He replies, his deep voice makingswallow hard.
“Good to hear,” | whisper. “Do you want something to drink or anything?” | pull on his shirt, now turning back to
him, very aware that I'm not wearing any panties. Should | grab sboxers?

His command makes my heart skip a beat and | go over to the bed, getting onto it. | reach out for his hand,
which he gives me.
“You need to rest, sleep. I'll sleep on the sofa...” | suggest meekly. | know he’s far too weak to do anything more,
but the look in his eye hasworried he'll try something, and | won't be able to behave, and he does need his
wound to heal fully first.
One of us needs to be responsible, but he’s making that so hard for me.
“There's plenty of space on this bed for the both of us,” he answers quietly. “Or are you scared?”
| raise an eyebrow. “Scared? Of what? Please.” | scoff, rolling my eyes as | drop onto the bed and slip my legs
smoothly beneath the sheets.
He lifts his body, allowingto free them from under him and pull it over both of us.
