Julian put the phone in his pocket. He approved of Layla telling Diana that the text came from a man.
Just as he was about to leave, he recalled that Diana wanted to buy a house. "Does she want to buy a house?"
"Yes, she does."
"Why does she want to do that?"
"She wanted to be prepared to take her things out after you marry Ms. Jarvis."
Diana knew what was sensible to do, now that Julian and Cecilia had moved out. It was only a matter of time until
she needed to move out, too.
Julian's good mood, after he comforted himself while driving back, immediately vanished upon hearing that. His
face turned black as he thundered, "Idiots!"
Idiots, just like Noel!
How in the world did Diana conclude that he wanted her to move out?
