"Yes, sir," Shane said at once.
Shawn got to his feet and returned to his bedroom. He changed into a set of green robes and a belt with an ancient-looking jade pendant on it before emerging.
Shawn looked like a man from ancient times.

Shawn merely instructed coldly, "Let's go." "Sir, is it just the two of us? Aren't we bringing anyone else along?" Shane said.
Shawn glanced at him. "What's the matter? Do you think | won't be strong enough?" "Of course not! | just thought we should bring speople along to cheer for you, sir," Shane hurried to say.
Shawn sneered coldly. "Gimmicks are pointless in the presence of real power. Do you understand?" "Yes, sir." Shane nodded profusely.
The two men left the house after that, and Shane drove both of them to Chad's house.
Just then, Wilbur and Chad had finished up a bottle of whiskey while Wallace and Wendy sat beside them and chatted along.
Chad stole a careful glance at Wilbur. "Master, shall we have another bottle?" Chad did not think Wilbur should drink anymore. After all, it would be bad if Wilbur got drunk when the Lesters were still bracing for the upcoming storm.
Wilbur chuckled. "Bring it over. This little bit of whiskey isn't enough to getdrunk. Besides, why would it matter if | got drunk?" Chad's whiskey collection had century-old bottles that he had paid good money for, and they hit the spot for Wilbur's taste.

Chad looked at Wilbur nervously, but Wilbur merely smiled. "Have them cinside." Chad forced himself to calm down, nodding at the servant at the door.
A moment later, Shawn walked slowly into Chad's vast living room with Shane behind him.
Shawn took a look at the banquet on the dining table and walked up to sit across from Wilbur. He gave a chuckle at Chad. "Mister Lester, I'm a guest in your house too. Aren't you going to poura glass of whiskey?" Chad frowned but poured a glass for Shawn all the same. Shane stood behind Shawn, glowering at Wilbur.
Shawn raised his glass at Wilbur. "Mind if | make a toast to you, young man?" "You don't deserve to offera toast." Wilbur turned Shawn down immediately.
Shawn was furious. He wanted to be polite and gentlemanly first before getting down to business, but Wilbur had put an end to that so disrespectfully.
Wilbur smirked to himself. It was clear Shawn was not there for a polite discussion, and there was no need for feigned courtesy.
Shawn's expression turned cold, and he put his glass down slowly. "I guess we're not doing this the easy way, then." "lI don't think there's a hard way, at least not against someone like you," Wilbur said calmly.
Shawn was thoroughly pissed off. "Il was going to let you live, but | guess | can't do that now."
