Wilbur coughed twice. "I've still got enough left for something like this." Ryder's expression darkened. He propped himself up against the nearest rock, using his remaining spiritual energy to deal with his injuries.
Gobo was still thrashing about like a trapped beast. However, Wilbur paid him no heed as he continued inspecting Gobo's body.
"Why did you beclike this, Gobo?" Wilbur asked.
Gobo merely roared in response.
Wilbur huffed. "It seems like you no longer have any sense left in you." A while later, Wilbur was finished inspecting Gobo's condition and walked over to Ryder. "So what's the next step?" "Destroying him, of course," Ryder said.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWilbur shrugged. "Okay then." He then walked up to Gobo, looking at the skull etched onto his chest. "You're from the Skull Cult, huh? Do you know that I've already killed your leader?" Gobo roared again in response.
Wilbur chuckled. "You could have done anything with your life, and yet you chose to join the Skull Cult. Look what you got out of that." Wilbur had just about figured that Gobo had acquired an evil cultivation method from the Skull Cult that had caused him to enter a psychotic break. He had then lost his mind and killed everything in sight.
All he had to do was absorb more blood and his strength would increase. However, his conscience would also deteriorate at the stime.
That was the most terrifying part. If he continued down this path any longer, he would becan extremely powerful yet mindless person. It would make him an incredibly dangerous entity to humanity.
Gobo must have still been conscious enough to realize this then and did not remain in the city for long, fleeing straight to the hill.
There were countless wild beasts at the hill that would be more than enough to satiate his thirst for blood. Only twould have told how many other casualties he would have been responsible for if he had not been taken down in time.
Wilbur had wanted to ask if he knew other cultivators from the cult, but it seemed like Gobo would be unable to answer his question.
Upon giving it sthought, Wilbur said in a deep voice, "Let's put you out of your misery." After that, he clapped his hands and Gobo immediately disintegrated into ash, dead and destroyed.
Wilbur cup to Ryder then. "Can you walk?" "Yep, not a problem." Ryder got to his feet, putting away his super cannon and picking the suitcase back up.
Wilbur sighed at the sight of a swaying Ryder, channeling sof his own spiritual energy into Ryder's body. His condition immediately stabilized as he looked a lot better overall.
"Let's go." Wilbur led them out of the hill, with Ryder following closely behind him.
It was evening when they finally got down the hill. Ronan was still there waiting for them. The moment he saw them, he hurried toward them at once.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"How did everything go, Sirs?" Wilbur replied, "Gobo's been put to rest. We're heading back to wrap the case up." Ronan's eyes widened at the sight of Ryder's clearly injured chest, and he gasped sharply.
Any regular person would have died from a wound like that, but Ryder was still able to walk down the hill all by himself.
Ronan then drove back to the Special Forces department. Meanwhile, Wilbur drove Ryder's car with Ryder resting in the back, heading to the freeway.
As soon as they left the city, their car was suddenly surrounded by several other cars, forcing them to stop.
The vehicles surrounding them were all luxury cars from an array of brands.
Wilbur sighed at the sight. "I guess that bastard didn't feel like quitting so soon." Ryder said nothing.
Just then, more than ten people, including Jonah, emerged from the cars surrounding them.
Next to Jonah were the other four people he had been hiking with. The two women clutched on each of Jonah's arms. Meanwhile, everyone else walked behind him like he was a god to be worshiped.
