Ronan had honestly made the situation pretty clear.
He had implied to Jonah that this man here was not to be messed with and the situation could still be salvaged as long as Jonah apologized.
However, Jonah was too used to things going his way and did not get the hint at all.
Jonah was quiet for a long while before fuming, "I don't care that you two know each other. If you don't arrest him today, you're going to get it." Ronan could not help but sigh. It looked like Jonah was still as dense as ever.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtRonan turned to Jonah. "This man is from the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense. This matter is out of our hands. Do you understand?" Ronan had wanted to at least try and save Jonah, seeing as they were both from the scity.
However, Jonah still could not take the hint and cried out, "I've never f*cking heard of such a department! You're dead if you protect this bastard, Ronan Black." The words made Ronan stop trying to help him altogether as he said, "lI don't have the right to arrest him. You can do it if you think you can." Jonah was stunned. He had not expected Ronan to refuse to help him at all and end up humiliating him like this.
Jonah's men were at a loss for words as well. What was going on with Ronan? Had he forgotten that his superior was none other than Jonah's father? Was Ronan trying to get himself fired? Just then, Wilbur's expression turned cold. "Ronan, this man is in possession of illegal firearms and used them to threaten a member of the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense. Cuff him and take him back to be interrogated. Threatening a member of the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense is a serious offense." "On it." Ronan did not miss a beat, turning around to the officers behind him and saying, "Handcuff Jonah Jemson and detain him at the department.” The officers Ronan just addressed worked directly under him. They only answered to his orders and executed them without hesitation.
They walked up to Jonah at once, pressing him down and putting him in handcuffs.
Jonah flared up in outrage, shouting at the top of his lungs, "Are you trying to get yourself fired, Ronan Black? Do you know what you're doing?" "Jonah Jemson," Ronan shouted, walking up to Jonah and staring down at him coldly. "Do you know who you just accused?" "Who the hell is he?" Jonah was infuriated as he continued to yell his head off.
Ronan smirked. "He's from the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense, the most powerful official department in all of Dasha. All departments across the nation are to work with them under any circumstance, and they have the right to go about any case however they want to. Even your father is nothing in comparison. Do you really think you're all that?" Jonah was completely shocked by these words. A department like that really existed...? The sight of Jonah in handcuffs made the jaws of his men drop to the ground.
The two ladies stared at Wilbur in disbelief, as if they were looking at a ghost.
Wilbur walked up to Jonah with a smile. "| told you not to be so sure about who would get it. You're getting at least three to five years in prison for threatening someone from the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense, and that's a pretty light sentence already." Wilbur's words caused a wave of panic and terror to immediately rise up in Jonah's chest.
He finally understood what Ronan had been trying to say earlier. However, it was already too late.
The mention of how powerful the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense was practically made Jonah's knees wobble.

Jonah stole a glance at Wilbur, trembling in fear.
"Heh." Wilbur took in the look of terror on Jonah's face and did not wish to torment the poor guy anymore as he turned to Ronan.
"Senda file of Jonah Jemson's case once it's been finalized. I'll personally look through it myself." "Of course." Ronan knew that Jonah was done for. Ronan himself would be in trouble if he were to go easy on Jonah.
As for Jonah's father, he was nothing in comparison to the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense.
Jonah's father would probably not have the nerve to beg for a lighter sentence. In fact, he might not even want to involve himself altogether for fear of getting into more trouble.
After all, it was hardly like Jonah's father was completely innocent himself.
