Faye wriggled around in Wilbur's arms as she slowly woke up, with her movements stimulating Wilbur even more.
For a split second, Wilbur had the urge to carry Faye right to his room and get it over and done with.
Yet upon second thought... he still had so many problems that had not been fixed yet.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe cultivation method Wilbur was practicing was extremely demanding on his physical well-being, and the slightest slip-up could result in his death.
Besides, there was the problem of the Church of Bloodism.
One of the twelve Bloodism apostles had been enough of a pain to deal with. It was obvious that their leader would be even stronger.
Wilbur was pretty much arch enemies with the Church of Bloodism now, and he would not feel at ease until they were completely taken down.
Until then, he would have to put off any thoughts regarding himself and Faye.
What if anything happened to him? Faye would have to spend the rest of her life alone...
The thought made Wilbur let out a sigh. He channeled sspirit energy to help Faye fall into a deep slumber before carrying her into her room and putting the covers over her. Wilbur returned to the living room after that and continued meditating.
Over in the Skeleton Fields, the tall figure was still leaning sideways as he sat on his throne of skulls, looking into the distance like a statue.

We have also lost contact with his Blood Embryo." A long silence later, the tall figure spoke up in a deep, dull voice, "It appears that we finally have an expert who is powerful enough." "Yes, Honorable Blood God. That seems to be the case." Another long pause later, the figure on the skull throne said, "Have the ninth apostle go this time, with a Blood Embryo as well." "Alone? I'm afraid he might not be able to hold up, even with a Blood Embryo on him," the elder said carefully.
"He's not there to battle, but to find the expert and gift the Blood Embryo to him." "Oh? Why? We don't have many Blood Embryos left. They're very precious," the elder said, perplexed.
"If he absorbs enough energy from the Blood Embryo, he'll becone of us," the figure said.
The elder frowned. "Yes, Honorable Blood God, but it would appear that he did not do so with the last two Blood Embryos he acquired." "That's because he still doesn't know the ue power of the Blood B I believe the sight of the complete Blood Embryo will sway "What if the sthing happens, and he destroys the embryo with smysterious method again?" "He won't destroy the Blood Embryo. All cultivators seek out power and strength. Go on, we might just gain something from this." "Yes, Honorable Blood God. I'll get right to it." The elder bowed deeply, turning around and vanishing from sight.
