Taking a deep breath, she said, “Nancy, I’m done with the food. If there’s nothing else, we’ll take our leave first. You
two lovebirds can have each other to yourselves.”
Zeke grabbed her hand to stop her. “Lacey, don’t leave yet. I haven’t given you the present.”
“Mia, what are you standing idly there for?”
