Rafael’s hands on both sides of his body involuntarily clenched into fists, and cold sweat dripped from

his clenched fingers.

Savanna looked back at Shelton’s face. The sunlight shone down from the cracks in the leaves and

shone on Shelton’s face, leaving a layer of mottled shadows on his face.
