Chapter 140: | Am Falling For My Professor? Chapter 140: | Am Falling For My Professor? Angelia
My hands were sweaty as | walked to the classroom, | hated walking into a room full of people. This was precisely
what I had wanted to avoid, | cursed myself for forgetting the time. Like | had been afraid of, there were plenty of
people already there but luckily most of them were either on their phones or talking to others. Swere
watching anyone entering with a bored expression.
Taking an empty seat as near the front as possible, | opened my bag and pulled out my notebook. and a pen. A
couple of minutes later, the professor walked in and began teaching almost right away. | was just relieved that
she didn't try any of those icebreaker games with us, | wasn't a fan of them. The awkwardness was too much for
me.
Two of my classes went by quickly and | only had one more before | could go home. It was strange being back at
school after three months away. | had gotten so used to my summer routine and | felt a kind of longing for those
days. Don't getwrong, | love my major but | felt like my plate was already full enough without adding
anything else on it. Again, | thought about how having two jobs, going to school and having tto be with my
dominants, all the while having tfor homework on the side would work out.
Nkay had giventoday off but that was the end of her consideration which was already much more than any
of the other bosses | have had. It was like | could take many days off anyway, | still needed to be able to pay my
bills. | knew my men wouldn't hesitate to helpbut | would never be able to ask them for money. Something, |
felt like twenty-four hours in a day weren't enough, there were so many things | had to do that by the end of it, |
had only managed to do half.
Aside from a few hellos to speople | shared classes with before, | didn't talk to anyone which was all the
better. When | was nervous, | found it hard to hold a conversation unless it were with friends.
"Ahh, Miss. Hartwell!" Someone called out and | stiffened, recognizing the voice.
"Professor Gilbert." | greeted as | turned around to face my former professor.
Professor Gilbert was a man in his late forties with a bald head and a beer gut. | was happy when I finished his
class, he was quite unnerving to be around.
'Hope you had a nice summer?" His eyes dropped to my tank top for a split second before looking. back up at
me.

Chapter 140 | Am Falling For My Professor?
Suddenly feeling uncomfortable and exposed in my low neckline, | shifted on my feet. As much as | wanted to
hide the swell of my breasts, | was afraid any move on my part would bring his attention back to them. "Yes, it
has been good. What about yours?"
| was too polite for my own good, all | wanted to do was ignore him and walk away but my manners heldin
place. Damn my parents for raisingwell.
"Mine wasn't that bad either but it was great being back at work again. | will miss you in my classes, though." He
said it was a compliment but it only madeuncomfortable.
I didn't know why he even said that, | had literally never been more than I had been in his class, trying to get
away from the weird attention he seemed to give me.
"Oh," | shifted on my feet again.
"That is nice." | lied.
"l actually have to get going, my class will start soon. Have a good day." He nodded.
"Have a good day as well, Miss Hartwell."
Gosh, what was it with creepy men and me? This last month they had been coming out the fucking woodwork.
Professor Gilbert had always had a weird thing forever since | ran into him at the cafe before | officially
bechis student. We had only exchanged a few words, mainlyapologizing for literally running into him.
From the first second | started his class, he had treated-differently than the others, givingway too much
attention. | had stopped at that cafe after
that even though it had been my favorite spot to relax at before classes started. The was, on
more than one occasion, | had wanted to report him but what could | really say? He had never done anything
wrong, not really. They wouldn't care that he had looked ata little too much or askedhow my day was, if
he had touched or talked toinappropriately, that would have been a whole different matter but he hadn't.
Only when | was out of his sight did | pull up my schedule for today and look at it. | saw that | had Business
management which | thought should be interesting. | knew from my adviser that this course was popular and
filled up quickly but | had been lucky enough to get a spot. It was also one of my required courses so | was
relieved that it all worked out for me. This time, | was early and managed to get a seat in the front, | always
hated sitting in the back where | had to strain to hear the professor and struggle to see the board. Making sure
my phone was set on silent, | sat back in my seat and waited for the professor to show up. A guy sitting beside

recognition flashed in his eyes.
"You are Joyce's friend, right?" | nodded.
"Yes, | am."
"Damn, that woman is badass, | had a class with her last year and she fucking went on our professor's ass for
being racist. She got the fire." He said.
"I think | am a little bit in love with her." I chuckled a little, thinking, who wasn't a little bit in love with her?
Seriously, | was as straight as an arrow but she was something else. It was her beauty that everyone saw first
but her personality and strong will made everyone respect her.
"Yes, | remembered that." | mumbled.
voman
| remembered how pissed | had been when she had toldabout the professor. The old had thrown out racist
remarks that had my stomach turning. If Joyce hadn't already talked to the department chairperson before telling
racism she and the others were subjected to by their professor, they didn't deserve that kind of hate, no one did.
"Do you think | could get her phone number? | would love to ask her out." The guy besideasked.
"You will have to ask her, | won't give out her number to strangers." | said it almost attentively, afraid he would
get mad but all he didn't was smile.
"Oh, right, that makes sense. | am Godwin by the way, it is nice to meet..."
"Alright class, welcto business management." Our professor, who must have shown up at spoint,

His familiar voice hadfrozen in my seat, partially turned towards Godwin and my heart was hammering in
my chest and panic grippedtightly. Godwin must have seen my reaction because he spoke. "Hi, are you
okay?"
Nooo, | wasn't okay, | was so fucking far from it and it wasn't even funny.
"My nis Marshall Blake and I will be your professor for business management."
Chapter 140: | Am Falling For My Professor?
| closed my eyes as the sense of dread washed over me. | could feel tears prickle behind my eyelids and my
chest fucking hurt. Goodness, why was this happening to me? No no, this couldn't be happening. This could
really not be happening. "Are you okay?" Godwin asked again.
| jumped slightly when he put a comforting hand on my shoulder, trying to get one to look at him but I couldn't
open my eyes. | didn't want to open my eyes because if | did, | would see him and then all of this world would be
real. Please, don't let it be real.
"Just like what you had imagined business management to be about, you will learn about the ethical issues
within business as well as values and morality. After this semester is over, you should understand the basic
concept of business and its part in management and be able to recognize and analyze ethical problems."
Marshall continued, hammering intowith his voice that he was in fact my professor.
The man | was falling for was my professor. The realization swirled inside my mind but I couldn't acknowledge it.
It hurt too much. Chapter Comments
