Daniel looked back and saw that Ava was awake. A warm smile appeared on his face as he
walked toward her.
“You’re awake. You must be hungry, right? Go wash your face and I’ll eat with you.”
Ava blinked her sleepy eyes and looked at the plates of fragrant dishes. “Did you buy the ingredients and come all
the way here to cook for me?”
“Uh-huh.” Daniel smiled softly and gently held Ava’s hand. “Go wash up now.”
Feeling Daniel’s concern and love, Ava smiled sweetly before obediently going to wash up.
After washing up, she appeared in front of Daniel without makeup.
Seeing the steaming food on the bar counter, Ava felt a surge of warmth in her heart.
While eating, Ava chatted with Daniel.

your grandfather, and I also don’t want you to be caught in a dilemma.”
Upon hearing this, Daniel frowned. “I never told her where you live, and I definitely won’t do anything you don’t like
me doing.”
Ava nodded thoughtfully. In fact, she already knew all this. Naya must have secretly looked her up and came to her
place but she deliberately used Daniel’s name.
Ava could guess the reason why Naya was doing this.
“I’ll call Naya now and make it clear to her. We’ll cancel this arrangement,” Daniel said after having decided to call
Naya.
Ava quickly grabbed Daniel’s phone and hung up the call.
“Ava?” Daniel looked at Ava in confusion.
However, Ava was beaming, and her beautiful eyes were shining. “We’ll just carry on with it, okay? She’s doing this
out of kindness, and this is a plan that’ll get us the best of both worlds.”
“Ava, are you sure?” Daniel asked, feeling doubtful.
“Yeah! Of course!” Ava’s tone was firm. “Danny, don’t think too much. Let’s eat first.”
Daniel breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the relaxed smile on Ava’s face, but he was still a little worried.
He knew that his fake engagement with Naya would definitely make Ava feel uncomfortable. The main reason why
she said yes was because of him. She did not want him to be stuck in a dilemma.
After eating with Ava, Daniel cleared the tableware and cleaned the bar counter.

put the cut fruit on a plate next to the laptop. He did not forget to bring some snacks over so that Ava could eat
while she worked.
Ava felt her heart gush with sweetness when she saw this. At this moment, her boss just happened to call her to ask
her for the draft.
“Ava, have you finished the design for Mr. Rogers?”
“Don’t worry, Bill, I’m almost done with it. It’ll be ready after some finishing touches. I promise to give you a
satisfactory design in two hours. Okay, that’s all. I’ll hang up now.”
Ava promised as she walked toward her laptop on the bar counter. However, the moment she turned on her laptop,
