"Are you sure?" Keegan asked Stella coldly.

Stella immediately nodded and said, 'Yes. I'm sure."

Keegan snorted in response.

Realizing that she was in the wrong, Stella approached him and said, "Are you alright, Mr. Kane? You've been

playing along with me all day. Do you want a shoulder massage?’

Keegan glanced at her and moved closer. Stella then immediately started to massage his shoulders.

Seeing that, Aldor's eyes widened. 'Did Mr. Kane and Ms. Jewell exchange statuses?'

"Can you put a bit more effort into it? Haven't you eaten already?" Keegan demanded discontentedly.

Stella gritted her teeth, wanting to hit him, but decided otherwise. After all, she was the one who had been

unreasonable before. So, she put on a nice smile and said, 'Sure, Mr. Kane. Is this okay?"

"Uh... It's alright," Keegan replied.

Seeing Stella sweat despite the cool autumn weather, Aldor considerately turned on the air conditioner.

When Stella felt the breeze, she immediately said, "Can you please turn off the air conditioner, Aldor?"

Aldor was puzzled. "Isn't it hot back there, Madam?"

Stella shook her head. "It is, but I don't deserve the special treatment. Mr. Kane worked so hard today in supporting

me and my plan. Yet, I still made him mad. Running the air conditioner will consume more fuel, and fuel costs so

much right now. I'm not worthy of spending Mr. Kane's hard- earned money when he's mad at me."

Hearing that, Keegan could not help but laugh. However, he immediately put on a straight face when Stella looked

at him. He did not want her to know that she had won him over.

Stella then leaned in with a smile and said, "Are you not mad at me anymore, Mr. Kane?"

Keegan gave her a sidelong glance and said, "I'm furious."

"I'm trying to cheer you up." Stella tugged at his sleeve and softly said," Please don't be mad anymore, Mr. Kane.

It's bad for your health."

"Nice try, but that won't work,' Keegan replied.

Stella thought about it for a while and said, "How about I tell you a joke?"

"Then... Do you want to hear about something that happened at my class reunion?'

Keegan's ears perked up upon the sound of that. "What did they say?" he asked.

"They said I'm lucky to have a husband like you. Not only are you rich, but you're also handsome and smart."

Aldor was amazed by how good Stella was at talking Keegan up.

Keegan was clearly flattered, and a faint smile appeared on his face. He glanced at Stella and said, 'You're not so

bad yourself. You have extremely good taste in choosing your partner, unlike me."

His words rendered Stella speechless.
