Chapter 1760
Felicity was impressed by how quick-witted and smooth Vermont was.
Keegan licked his lips, "Well... if you don't want a divorce, we don't have to do it."
Stella said coldly, "How generous of you."
Keegan kept quiet. He felt extremely puzzled about why he would marry someone with such a sharp tongue.
The ward door swung open again when he was about to say something.
"Stella! Stella!"
Cordelia walked in hurriedly, looking anxious. When she saw that Stella was still wearing her patient pants, she put
her hand on her chest, "Did I come too late? Is my precious great -grandchild already gone?"
She looked like she was about to faint as she spoke.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtVermont, standing next to her, immediately supported her," No, no. The baby is still here."
Cordelia immediately felt relieved, "Really?"
Vermont nodded, "For now, yeah. The parents are still discussing its fate."
Cordelia felt like fainting again upon hearing that.
Keegan then walked over, asking, "Grandma, what brought you here?"
Cordelia's hand was still across her chest when she said irritably, "I should be the one asking you that question. Why
did you bring Stella here?"
Keegan was confused, "I didn’t. I came to find her."
"What do you mean? Are you saying that Stella decided to abort my great-grandchild?"
Cordelia was frustrated, "She has been looking forward to having a child for so long. Now that she's finally
pregnant, how could she abort it? You must've been the one who brought her here. After you lose your memory
and can't recognize her, you want to break off the engagement. Now, you don't even want your baby with her. How
can you be so irresponsible?"
Keegan felt extremely wronged. He had come to stop Stella, yet to his grandmother, he was the one who forced
Stella to have an abortion.
"Grandma, it's not like that. I just found out about it and came to stop her. If you don't believe me, ask Stella."
After saying that, Keegan looked at Stella, hoping she would explain. However, Stella's eyes reddened, "Grandma,
you're finally here. If you were to come later, I... I..."
Then, she started crying.
Keegan was puzzled, 'Tell her the truth. Why are you crying?'
Cordelia was furious. She lifted her cane and hit Keegan with it, "You liar! What would you have done if I didn't come
today?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAlthough his injuries had recovered, being hit still hurt. He could only dodge while explaining, "Grandma, don't listen
to her nonsense. She's the one lying-Ouch-"
Cordelia chased Keegan around the hospital room to hit him. Felicity's jaw dropped in shock.
'Even someone as imposing as Keegan could look like a drowned rat.' Felicity thought to herself.
Cordelia was getting older; she ran out of breath after a while. She leaned on her cane, panted, and pointed at
Keegan, "I'll deal with you later when we go home!"
Then, she walked over to Stella and held her hand, "Child, I'm sorry for what you had to go through. I'll teach that
hopeless thing a lesson for you."
Stella hugged Cordelia and thanked her. Then, she turned to Keegan and stuck her tongue out at him, making a
funny face.
Keegan rubbed his sore back from getting hit earlier and could not help but laugh. Just when he was still feeling
guilty, Stella turned the situation around. 1
After being labeled as violent, Stella further solidified her reputation as cunning and crafty in Keegan's eyes.
