Chapter 1946
Aurora paused and turned to Keegan.
Without looking at her, Keegan said nonchalantly, "She brought this on herself. No one can save her
now."
Aurora had been raised by Dahlia and was once her precious daughter, after all. Although she had
harmed Stella and framed her, Aurora could not bear to see Dahlia in such a miserable state.
She wanted to plead with Keegan for help. She thought that even if he was going to settle the score
with Dahlia, he should do it privately and not with so many people watching.
However, before she could say anything, Vermont spoke up." Aurora, there's a lot of people here. Think
about it, if you stepped in to help, you're getting the Kane family involved. Even if it was proven that the
Kane family had nothing to do with this incident, the public's comment on the Kane family will inevitably
take a toll on the Kane family's reputation."
Aurora turned hesitant.

and you try to act like a saint when you shouldn't. I guess she didn't slap you hard enough earlier.
Maybe she should get you locked up again before you can think clearly!"
Her blunt words made Aurora's face look even more unpleasant.
Aurora looked around and realized that no one was willing to step forward and help.
Although Dahlia had been the center of attention amongst the socialites, nobody truly respected her.
They supported her not because of her character, but because of the Kane family. The "friends" she
often had afternoon tea with had all been undermined by her just because they were better than her in
some way.
Having been so arrogant all the time, a lot of people enjoyed watching her downfall.
"Aurora!" Dahlia was still calling out to her daughter. Olivia was thoroughly disgusted by her. After
harboring
resentment for so long, she was not going to let her go so easily. She forcefully held Dahlia's face and
showed it to everyone.
"You love being in the limelight, don't you? Come on, let everyone look at your selfish, nasty face!
"Erick is disgusting for cheating on me and using my money to support his illegitimate son, but you
pretended to be my friend and lied to me for so many years. You're a thousand times more disgusting
than him!
"You invite your friends here to have afternoon tea and charge it to my hotel almost every time. Yet,
have I ever said anything about it?
"On your birthday, you wanted to give your friends collagen drinks as gifts, so I traveled abroad to buy
the best ones for you.
"When your ex-mother-in-law celebrated her birthday, I even provided the venue and planned
everything for you. Dahlia Crosby, what have I done to upset you all these years to deserve such
humiliation?"
Olivia exposed Dahlia's ingratitude and betrayal, severing their once seemingly friendly ties.

The crowd started gossiping, and Dahlia's image as an aristocratic lady had crumbled. She could not
break free, so she felt embarrassed and retorted, "I didn't tell you about this for your own good. If you
didn't spend that ten million to shut that woman up, do you think that Erick would still want to be with
you? She gave birth to a son, and what about you? You gave birth to three whores! He wanted to dump
you a long time ago!"
Olivia's expression darkened, and she slapped Dahlia. "You have a daughter too, and you're a woman.
How can you say such disgusting things?"
"How dare you hit me!" Dahlia's face turned pale. While struggling with Olivia, she shouted at Aurora,
"Aurora Kane, are you dead? Are you just going to stay there and watch me get slapped?"
Aurora clenched her fists.
Felicity then taunted her. "Okay, okay. Go ahead and be a good daughter. Let's see if she'll remember
your kindness. Don't ask us for help if she ever frames you again."
Vermont said softly, "Actually, we haven't done anything to help."
Felicity elbowed him.
Aurora bit her lip and slowly turned her face away from Dahlia.
