Chapter 2141
Larry walked in, closed the door behind him, and called out softly, "Hello,
Ms. Hall."
Stella was taken aback. Then, she asked, "Larry? Is there something you need?"
Larry nodded. "Yes. Ms. Hall, today is my son's birthday, and I'd like to give him something. Could you please
approve my leave? | only need two hours.
Stella smiled. "Of course, but our company has a dedicated person who handles leave requests for drivers. You
can look for Mr. Payton on the second floor, but I'll approve it for you this time. Next time, just go directly to
him."

She paused, then looked at his empty hands and asked, "Where is your leave request form?"
Larry looked somewhat embarrassed as he said softly, "I was afraid that you wouldn't approve it, so | haven't
filled it out yet." "You're not taking leave without reason, and there's not much for you to do now anyway. A kid
only has one childhood, so spend as much tas you can with him."
As she spoke, Stella printed out a leave request form from her computer and handed it to Larry along with a pen,
saying, "Fill it out, and I'll sign it for you. Take it to the HR department to file it, and then you can leave."
Larry took it, placed his thermos on the office desk, and bent over slightly to fill out the leave request form.
From where Stella was sitting, she could see the words he was writing. She was somewhat surprised as she said,
"Larry, your handwriting is very nice."
Larry's handwriting looked nothing like his ragged appearance. Stella remembered that his highest educational
level was only junior high school, but his handwriting was truly remarkable.
Larry replied modestly, "It's nothing. | watched my son write and learned it from him." "That's pretty impressive
too."
Stella finished her water just as Larry had filled out the form. Then, he handed it to Stella for her to sign.
Stella took the pen and read the details.
As Larry grabbed his thermos on the table, he slowly twisted it open. The hot water emitted a faint steam, and
through the mist, he watched Stella sign the form with her head lowered. His expression looked somewhat dark
and inscrutable.
Stella then signed it and said, "Larry, take the box of chocolates from the coffee table when you leave. It's a gift
from a friend, and | haven't opened it. Bring it back for your son. He might like it."
Then, she looked up and smiled as she handed him the signed leave request form. "I've approved an extra two
hours for you. Just make sure to be back before five in the afternoon."

Larry clenched his hand around the thermos, tightened the lid, and reached out to take the form.
"Thank you so much, Ms. Hall," he said.
"Don't mention it. You may leave now."
Larry nodded, took the form, and started walking away. When he was about to leave the office, Stella called out
to him, "Larry, wait a moment."
She reached into a drawer, walked over, and handed Larry the box of chocolates on the coffee table along with a
voucher. "Take this voucher with you. There's a bakery across the street from our company. You can get a free
four-inch cake with it."
Larry pursed his lips and looked at Stella with an indescribable look. After freezing for two seconds, he reached
out to take them. But before he could do so, the lid of his thermos suddenly loosened, and it fell to the ground.
The hot water splashed all over, and Stella instinctively took two steps back.
