Chapter 599
Jaylene blushed and looked down. "Aurora, stop saying that, " she said softly.
Her words were filled with girlish bashfulness.
If Jaylene was not willing, she could have given a direct refusal.
But, all she said was "stop saying that”, which meant that she was not against being paired up like that.
Stella felt uncomfortable.
She was reminded of the photo she saw on Vermont's feed a few days ago. 'Keegan, that bastard.
Could it be that he got drunk and said nonsense to Jaylene and gave her the wrong idea?
'Why else would a lovely girl like her wants to be paired up with a pig like Keegan?
Stella grabbed a piece of watermelon from the table and took a bite.
When Dahlia saw Jaylene’s reaction, she realized that they had a shot.
"Aurora is not wrong. Both of them are single and unwed, so it wouldn't hurt to let them interact more."
Mrs. Chapman cheered.
"Watch what you're saying, Mrs. Chapman. Both parties are single, but it depends on what type of

Ms. Saun?"
A bejeweled Cyrene chuckled and came over with Jackson by her side.
Dahlia's expression subtly darkened.
Mrs. Chapman, however, was sleek. 'Cyrene, things are different from our times now," Mrs. Chapman
smiled as she spoke. "As long as you don't have a child, having a past marriage or not doesn't make
much of a difference. Plus, having experienced a failed marriage, divorced husbands would know how
to treat you better."
Cyrene smiled. "Since you're so accepting, Mrs. Chapman. Why didn't you accept my nephew's
wedding proposal?
Mrs. Chapman choked on her words.
Dahlia was slacking in her work for the past few months, so Mrs. Chapman wanted to get close to
Cyrene instead.
However, Cyrene was not that gullible. She lacked neither money nor connections and was not easily
swayed by small favors.
Mrs. Chapman not only failed to get her husband a new project but she also got put in her place by
Cyrene.
Cyrene introduced her own nephew, who had divorced three times previously, to Mrs. Chapman's
eldest daughter.
Cyrene said that if they got married, anything could be on the table.
Mrs. Chapman was calculative, but she treasured her husband and her three daughters. How could
she be willing to let her daughter marry a man with such a bad reputation?
After that, she never approached Cyrene again.
Mrs. Chapman was all talk when she said that there was no difference if someone had been divorced.
But, when it came to her own daughter, she was naturally unwilling.
She was crestfallen as soon as Cyrene mentioned that incident.
Dahlia glanced at Cyrene solemnly. "We're just joking around. You didn't have to make a big deal out of
it."
Cyrene covered her smile with her hand. 'Don't mind me, Dahlia, I'm a straightforward person." As she
talked, she turned her head and smiled at Jaylene and her mother." Jaylene, do you remember me? I

Jaylene nodded. "Aunt Cyrene."
Cyrene held Jaylene's hand and examined her. She smiled as she said, "You're all grown up now.
You're getting more beautiful each day." She continued, "This is Jackson. You two played together
when you were little. Do you remember? M
Jaylene shook her head.
It was twenty years ago, so no one would remember.
"It's okay if you don't. You can reintroduce yourselves."
Stella peered and saw that Jackson was wearing a suit for once. He looked like a decent person as he
stood there straight.
Jackson offered a handshake and smiled. "Hello, Ms. Saun."
Jaylene drew her hand back after her fingertips lightly touched him. "Hello, Jackson."
Dahlia was at the side, watching with fire in her eyes.
'Cyrene and her son are like flies. They poke their noses everywhere!’ Dahlia thought.
Apparently, Jaylene was the one who was most sought after, not Keegan.
Judging by the situation, both women from the Kane family wanted Jaylene to be their daughter-in-law.
