Lionel was confused.
What did he do? Kendrick treated him so poorly.

after Cynthia went to attend to her own matters.
He asked. “Mr. Yares, is it because of last night that you don’t want to see me?”

Whether or not they lied to Cynthia remains unknown. However, Lionel would not deceive
him.
“Mr. Neal asked whether you wanted me to take your home or if he should do it, and you
chose him,” Lionel stated straightforwardly.
At the time, when Joshua called out ‘Ken‘, only Yoel heard it clearly. Lionel was too focused
on Kendrick’s reaction and did not pay much attention to Joshua’s address.
Kendrick gave up.
After saying he wanted to be alone, he dismissed Lionel and spent the whole day in the
office, questioning his life choices.

Cynthia had been waiting for Kendrick to make a decision. However, even after work
hours, she had not heard Kendrick say he
would apologize to Joshua.
At exactly live–thirty in the evening, Cynthia received a WhatsApp message on her phone.
It was from Joshua, informing her that the new phone was ready and asking her to help
transfer the data.

She decided to change all the notes and contacts related to Joshua on her phone.
Considering what happened last night when Yoel used her phone to call, she thought it
would be better not to give Joshua any reason to argue with Kendrick.
However, right after changing the notes, she found her own behavior somewhat strange.
In the end, she changed them back, using them as a reminder not to have too much
contact with him.
