“You're so busy. I'm worried it might tire you out if I add more to your plate.”
“You're acting as if you're not busy, Mr. Nolan.” Ashlyn smirked. “How's the investigation into my brother-in-law's
case going?”
“I've found some leads. Come take a look.” Recently, Lucas had been instructing his subordinates to investigate the
case of James.
Although the president had already dispatched people to reinvestigate, they still didn't feel at ease. They believed
that taking matters into their own hands would be a more cautious approach.
Ashlyn received the documents handed to her by Lucas and skimmed through them briefly. “I don't quite grasp the
details of the case. You should delve deeper and identify what might work in his favor.”

substantial and direct proof,” Lucas said in a deep voice.

about to say?”

The woman with a cold demeanor slowly lowered her head, gazing down at her phone.

The man hung up the phone and turned to look at Ashlyn. “Mr. Lester has woken up. Shall we go to the hospital
together?”
Left without a choice, Ashlyn could only suppress her desire to reveal her true identity to this man.
“Let's go.”
The two of them arrived at Jadeborough Hospital along with Spencer.
Jacob was having oatmeal porridge in his VIP ward while Sabrina sat by his bed, showing concern. “Mr. Lester, you
