Chapter 782

Armand turned solemn at Amanda's mention of a future boyfriend.

He unshelled a prawn, fed her, and said gently, “Mandy, I do hope I can accompany you longer. You don't have to

grow up so quickly. That way, I may continue to cook whatever you like for you. You have to remember that people

out there are evil. They're really good at lying. You're only going to be safe and sound under my protection. Do you

understand?”

“Yes.” Amanda nodded seriously.

Armand smiled and continued to feed his daughter. “Isn't my cooking the best? Nobody else can beat me, right?”

“Yes, it's so delicious!” Amanda said animatedly. “Your cooking is better than Michelin-starred chefs!”

“Of course. I shall be your personal chef from now on, Mandy.”

Amanda made no mention of looking for a boyfriend after Armand's indulging remarks. After all, Armand was

handsome and rich, not to mention he was really good at cooking too. Nobody else would be able to surpass her

father.

By the end of the meal, Amanda was so stuffed that she lay on the couch and caressed her full belly.

Meanwhile, Armand took all the utensils to the kitchen and placed them in the sink. All of a sudden, he felt a bit

dizzy as he choked on the sharp stench of blood in his throat.

He scrambled to steady himself against the kitchen island. After he took a deep breath, the dizziness finally went

away.

“Mando,” Genevieve called out as she padded into the kitchen.

Armand managed to suppress the discomfort that he felt and turned to look at Genevieve. By then, he had already

eased his furrowed brows.

“Hm?”

Genevieve circled her hands around his neck and pursed her lips coquettishly. “You've never sweet-talked me

before. I thought it was because you didn't know how to. Apparently, I was dead wrong. You were suave when you

doted on your daughter, huh?

“I am yours, and you may summon me anytime.” Armand kissed her on the lips and said, “Mandy has just reunited

with me, and yet she's already mentioned looking for a boyfriend. How could I not feel jealous about it? I really

hope she can stay by my side forever. Which scoundrel deserves my daughter, hmm?”

Amused, Genevieve let out a chuckle.

Armand kissed her again and took out an orange from the fridge. He washed the orange and cut it into slices as he

said, “Let me be done with the dishes first. I'll join you guys in the living room later.”

“Sure.” Genevieve took the plate of oranges and went to the living room.

Genevieve beckoned at Amanda after going to the living room and whispered a few words into the latter's ear. The

little girl then sprung up from the couch and hurried to the bedroom.

When Armand came into the living room, he noticed that Amanda was carrying a violin case in her arms.

Genevieve took over the violin case and placed it on the floor before opening it up. There was a brown-colored

violin in it. It looked brand new, and judging by the looks of it, it had not been played for quite some time.

“This is such a pretty violin!” Amanda's eyes glinted. “Mommy, did you buy this?”

“It's a gift from Mr. Sullivan. It's called Night Breeze.” Genevieve caressed the violin in her hand and passed it to

Amanda. “It's yours now.”

Lucian recognized the violin at first glance. “This is Master Emeti's favorite violin. It's priceless.”

“Oh, that's right!” Amanda turned the violin sideways and noticed the name of the violin maker carved onto the

violin.

“Mommy, I love you!” She then dashed over into Genevieve's embrace and showered the latter with kisses, saying,

“I'm going to win so many awards with this violin and make you and Daddy proud!”

Genevieve was all smiles after listening to her daughter's proclamation. “Sure, your daddy and I shall await the

day.”

Amanda started to take the old strings apart and replaced them with new ones in an adept manner. Then, she

tuned the violin and said, “Lucian, go take your harmonica out. Let's form a band and play some music so that

Daddy can invite Mommy for a dance. What do you say?”

“Lucian knows how to play the harmonica?” Armand sounded pleasantly surprised. “And here I thought you had

inherited my tone-deaf genes.”

Lucian mumbled an affirmative response proudly as he went into his room to retrieve his harmonica.
