firearms are not proper businesses.” Silas knew that Zephyr was extremely intelligent, but he also knew that
Zephyr was too merciless. He would kill even the people around him.

Zephyr narrowed his eyes and pressed his finger on the trigger. “I'm not here to chit-chat, Father. If you want
Genevieve to live, tell me where the gold is.”
“You don't have to tell him. Just leave.” Genevieve urged Silas to go away. After losing Amanda, she had already lost
the will to live.
She was completely unfazed by the fact that Zephyr might pull the trigger.
“Aww... Heartbroken that your precious daughter has died?” Zephyr lowered his head to look at Genevieve before
laughing lightly. “The man in front of your eyes is your father. Even if you want to die, he won't let it happen.”
He knew how much Silas loved Mia.
That was the reason he did not kill Genevieve the moment he arrived in Chanaea. He had a bigger fish to fry.
When Silas heard that, he froze. “W-What did you say?”

her. “She is the daughter of you and the woman you love most.”
“B*llshit!” Genevieve hollered in fury. “My father is Wayne Rachford!”
Zephyr burst into laughter. “Your mom was already pregnant when she left Lostaria, but no one knew. When my
mother saw you on TV, she was worried and sent me over to investigate. The moment I laid my eyes on you, I knew
you were my father's daughter. Genetics is truly miraculous. Don't you think so, Father?” Zephyr turned to look at
Silas. “I wonder why she doesn't have purple eyes too.”
Silas looked at Genevieve carefully. Genevieve resembled Mia a lot, but he could not find a trace of himself on her
face.
Nevertheless, he secretly wished that she was his and Mia's daughter.
Silas did not answer Zephyr, His face turned red in anger as he looked at his son. “Even if you want something from

“You don't believe me?” Zephyr chuckled. “If she wasn't Mia's daughter, Mother wouldn't have sent me to Chanaea

“Shut up!” Genevieve thundered.
She had just lost her daughter. There was no way she could accept the fact that her mother had been pregnant
when she married her current husband, especially because the information came from someone she did not even
know.
“See, Father?” Zephyr smiled. “I'd say my sister's temper is kinda like yours. Don't you think so?”
Thunder began rumbling as the sky darkened even more.
“Looks like it's gonna rain soon.” Zephyr exerted a bit more force onto the trigger. Any small movement would
cause the gun to fire. “Make a decision, Father.”
Silas' heart was caught in his throat when he saw Zephyr's actions.
