Mommy, okay?”
“Mm.” Felix nodded seriously and promised, “I’m super brave.”
Sitting next to Esther, Felix watched attentively as she ate her breakfast. Curiously, he tilted his head
and asked, “Mommy, when can I see Sunshine?”
“You miss Sunshine?” Esther asked with a heavy heart.
Felix nodded. “Yes!”
Sunshine was fun. If he and Sunshine could keep his mother company together, she would surely be
happy daily. She wouldn’t have to move houses to hide from Bradley anymore.
